Think I had the same problem but eventually got it to work.
I could download it now from github, but it took ages.
Is it allowed for Germany to have units in teritorrity originaly owned by Russia, occupied and taken by Italy without being at war with Russia
@giallo in OOB yes, BM no
Is there a bid with the P2V map? If so do you no what the average bid is and for what side?
@dawgoneit I don’t see any recent games of PTV under League that noted a bid in the thread title
In the last 24 hours, the following had no bid listed in the title or the adjustments at beginning of Round 1 (German or Russian turn):

I don’t know if it’s the right discussion (just move it in case).
I’ve been playing for years but I still can’t learn from my mistakes
Maybe I’m more skilled as a tactic and not as a strategy?
I believe that the champions or the best players almost always win (compensating for the bad luck of the dice) because they have an overall strategic vision?
That is, they always have a plan both playing as allies and as axis
Maybe my mistake is to often limit myself to responding to the opponent?
Sorry if I express my thoughts here but you are the best players in the world …
:)
@avner My experience with playing against stronger players than myself (and, man, last year was my first year in the league and it was humbling) is that I feel like I’m constantly under pressure. I believe, for me, becoming a better player means more foresight, experience and just flat out aggression.

I think the opposite is important. ie. Tactics trump strategy. Patton said something like: great tactics can make a mediocre strategy sing but without the right tactics an excellent strategy can fail.
So I guess you still need a decent strategy, perhaps look at what other players do as Axis. Allies need to react a lot.

Yes, talk to us. Ask for a feedback, ask for advice, look into other games.

It is neither strategy nor tactics that is primary, but principles :)
Don’t play while tired (or drunk) - block out plenty of time without distractions - and there’s no substitute for experience…
Perhaps ask a player who’s had a lot of success to analyze one of your games and tell you what he would have done differently.
And don’t zoom in too much on Triple A - you need to be able to see a lot of the board at once!
Well thanks for the advice.
What is certain is that it is difficult to always apply the principles on the board.
Then maybe one is good in individual sectors but lacks the general vision (Rommel in North Africa even if perhaps someone else had to support him strategically …).
And rightly so many games are also lost due to distractions …
;)
sorry guys i missed out
what is the final conclusion on number of leagues, tables and games needed for individual or all play offs?

for 2021 league
It’s good you asked, Amon, others are probably wondering too.
There’s one league.
Four standings sheets - OOB 2nd edition, BM, P2V, and overall/composite.
8 games needed in BM to play in BM playoff
?? games needed in OOB to play in OOB playoff
?? games needed in P2V to play in P2V playoff
Number of games required for OOB and P2V will be determined around mid-year (like July) because then we will all know how much activity/interest there is in each of those. That leaves plenty of time for players to get the # of games they need to qualify if they want to play in those playoffs (about half a year)
Composite/overall standings is for everyone’s information, to help you size up your opponents and see where you stand overall. Standings within each version of 1940 A&A govern playoffs by version. Does that answer all questions? If not, please ask follow-up questions. I will update the official league rules someday, but this is the most hectic time of year for me.
Question. The US is amphib assaulting the Phillipines but a huge naval battle has to occur in sz 35 first. After 3 rounds of combat the US wants to retreat.
Thanks for any help. Load the last posted game file if you want to see what I mean
