Evening Herr KaLeun. I too have always been surprised that this charge was the last large scale one, but it is how I remember it.
Just to be sure, I did google last British cavalry charge and found and read of the one you mention about an hour ago!
Great movies from the 80's

What are your favorite movies from the 80’s?
To get it started… here are a few of mine.

The Empire Strikes Back
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Full Metal Jacket
The Outsiders
Die Hard
Predator
The Lost Boys
Porky’s
Rocky III -
The Empire Strikes Back
-
Labyrinth 1986 (David Bowie with huge hair and tights!)
I want to include Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze here, since it feels like such an '80s movie, but it was actually 1991. :x
TOP GUN 1986 … the alpha and omega of action movies
Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan 1982 one of the best Trek films
Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure 1989 college professor of my cousin: “One of the best historical movies ever made.”
Ghostbusters 1984 loved it as a kid but after watching it again realize it is pretty awful
Batman 1989 Weird fascination with Michael Keaton as Batman, but Jack Nicholson as the Joker seemed so unnervingly natural

Yes… Toblerone, Platoon, and Full Metal Jacket are all great Vietnam movies from the 80’s, but lets not forget about “Hamburger Hill”. If you haven’t seen it… look it up.
-
I think I only watched it once, unlike the other two. Did not like it as much.

Worcester: We had a short-timer once. Johnny I-forget-his-name. He wore a flak jacket, two helmets and armor underwear. Ashau Valley… your time’s up, your time is up.
The Final Countdown, Das Boot, Star Wars V & VI to add a few…
