I had already granted a several month delay. After 6 days in a row of not responding–during which AetV was actively engaged in other games, I figured he had lost interest in our game. If at any time he had extended the courtesy of providing a heads up that he needed more time for any plausible reason, I would have gladly granted an extension. I did not post the game myself, because I wanted to give AetV an opportunity to continue the game. If he had informed he wanted a really slow paced game, it would have free me to take up another game.

The way I’m reading it, there is maybe a misunderstanding.

Art appeared to bump out the win, but aev reported it. When there is a bump out win, the winner always posts the win, unless the slow bumped out player agrees it’s over.

So I went in the thread and it looks like Art said hey, we can keep going,
but aequitas interpreted it that ArtofWar was demanding the win like a landlord demands rent.

Which is it, guys? Seems like neither of you wants the game to end.

I did not bump out as the rules allow, because I wanted to AetV one final chance to continue our game at a reasonable pace. For example, the following delays seem unnecessary–
waiting from 3-29 @5:06 pm for an opponent to take his turnwaiting 2.5 days after making a non-surprising scramble decision (on 3-31 @ 1:08 pm) or my opponent to conduct the battle (on 4-3 @ 5:26 am) seems like an unnecessary delay.

*waiting from 3-15 @11:03 am for an opponent to take his turn on 3-18 @ 12:01 pm (no bump);
*waiting 2.5 days after making a non-surprising scramble decision (on 3-31 @ 1:08 pm) for my opponent to conduct the battle (on 4-3 @ 5:26 am);

• waiting 6 days (4-6 @ 9:41 am to 4-12 @ 11:02 am) for a weaken and nearly broke Italy to take its turn.

I offered to continue our interesting game if we could play without unnecessary delays. The bump rules are in place to keep games going at a reasonable pace. It is not unsporting to expect an opponent to adhere to the rules.

He’s mainly asking to communicate a little better

The way I think of AoW47 is as following:

I choose to play him bc he is slightly to a little more better than me and that I can learn from him to get to the next steps in PtV. Also I found his one game very interesting he had against 666.

BUT the Bumps were just irretating me, since I got a lot of stuff privately on my plate and other peolpe I play at the same time have no issue w. me of having a little slower pace at the moment. I got several delays on other games as well but don’t bump them bc I know life comes first before triple a.
Triple a is also my family but it is not bringing me a hot meal, a warm bed or other things like my … situation right now.
I let everybody know when i decides to lift up the MARTI dices that I am WORKING on my comeback.
The way gamerman right now lines it out what AoW47 meant sounds reasonable to me. And I think that i could have overshot the whole situation.
I am just frustrated right now and want to break things.
This is what is going on right now in my life and i am looking for Vents to compensate my inner Tornado.
I have no problem to apologize and take back my latest statement i posted here above. But also asking kindly to be a little bit more patient with me.

So if you are willing to continue our game AoW47 so be it and forgive my grudge and my attitude- But if you desire now that it is to late and there is no point in keeping up w. good relations, i will accept it and the game is yours and the posted result stands.

Hey, I’m glad to see this, I hope you guys can enjoy the rest of your game.

I think this may help:

I can’t speak for ArtofWar but it makes sense to me that a lot of guys will do a bump when they’re entitled by the rules to do it, to set up their ability to call the game if they want to.

In other words, many times players don’t necessarily bump to pressure an opponent or to grab a win when the opponent doesn’t want the game to end, but rather to establish the ability to call it.

Another use of the bump is to gently remind the opponent that it’s their turn and it’s been awhile since last post, and I hope you’ll play your move soon so I can continue the game.

Another is in case the other player didn’t get the notification of the last move, or the player looked at it, then went somewhere else, then the red number on the bell isn’t there any more.

I don’t want to be over-bearing on you guys right now, I’m partly outlining all this for any league player who is reading this in case it benefits.

I prefer, and many others as well, to not “bump”, because that can be alarming or like a warning, but rather to talk about it in private message. Or in the game thread, where it establishes the understandings publicly.
I hope none of this is condescending or offensive, is not meant that way.

Although I personally prefer this, to be clear everyone absolutely has the right to bump as soon as 72 hours have gone by, or take the win at 14 days.

I’m pretty sure there’s a mistake in the ELO spreadsheet. I was looking through the spreadsheet since I was curious about some things, and I noticed an Axis loss of which I should only have 2, and this reported loss is years before my first axis loss to farmboy in 2020.

The thread for this game is likely this one (same reported date as the last comment, 26 Jul 2016) and in it axis-dominion has conceded:

@Adam514 there is the odd error through there. I was intending to help out by slowly going through and double checking but haven’t had much chance to do that as of late. Can go in and fix this one now.
