It’s good you asked, Amon, others are probably wondering too.
There’s one league.
Four standings sheets - OOB 2nd edition, BM, P2V, and overall/composite.8 games needed in BM to play in BM playoff
?? games needed in OOB to play in OOB playoff
?? games needed in P2V to play in P2V playoffNumber of games required for OOB and P2V will be determined around mid-year (like July) because then we will all know how much activity/interest there is in each of those. That leaves plenty of time for players to get the # of games they need to qualify if they want to play in those playoffs (about half a year)
Composite/overall standings is for everyone’s information, to help you size up your opponents and see where you stand overall. Standings within each version of 1940 A&A govern playoffs by version. Does that answer all questions? If not, please ask follow-up questions. I will update the official league rules someday, but this is the most hectic time of year for me.

Question. The US is amphib assaulting the Phillipines but a huge naval battle has to occur in sz 35 first. After 3 rounds of combat the US wants to retreat.
- Is this a legal move? ( I believe it is)
- Triple A keeps crashing every time the US tries to retreat. Is this a bug?

Yes you should be able to retreat to 34 and Triple A lets you select 34 and retreat, it just crashes after that point (for me also). Use edit mode to remove the units from both sides and to get the US units to 34

what happens with the tranny (and the land units he carries) in that case?

The amphi will be cancelled, since the sz would still be hostile, so the land stays on the tr.

Is there any interest in including Young Grasshopper Tournament Edition in the league ?

@bretters not likely, because that version of second edition A&A is designed to be played by teams, face-to-face, and finish in a one-day session.

@karl7 Boldfresh is my nephew. He lives in Chicago. His wife wigged out when COVID hit last March, along with all that volatile BLM violence and political turmoil. She needs control over her circumstances and COVID and the political turmoil blew her lid off. She is adamantly against using mental health medication of any kind and she was out of control. She pretty much had to leave the USA for her sanity.
She left him and went back to Finland where she’s from. She took the 3 very beautiful small children with her. Boldfresh realized from wise counselors that if the kids were out of the USA for more than 3 months they could be impossible to get back. Recently, he told me that all the “sheep” (meaning the 3 kids) are coming home!! (To Chicago, where his parents also live)
He had also started a new business venture in Chicago that was intense but I don’t know how it is really going, and he had to deal with COVID too. So he has been really struggling, and I guess has not had time or the heart craving for A&A that he normally does.
So please, anyone reading this, PRAY (or think happy thoughts his direction if you don’t like the concept of prayer) for Boldfresh, and one day I believe he will return, better than ever and not as ornery.
The timing of your cry for Boldfresh is uncanny, Karl. Maybe his story could be an inspiration for a book that you write, and I think that some day you two should meet face to face, possibly to do this book. Bold predictions, I know, but all things are possible to those who believe. I can see these things happening.
I contacted Bold this week, requesting that he receive me to Chicago (about 5 1/2 hour drive one way for me) and he was open to that. He couldn’t do this week, but I think the reunion between he and I will be happening soon and I am very, very excited because we grew up together. He is only 5 months younger than I.

I just noticed! His picture has been updated and you can see his grin, with his 3 kids securely back to him!! Click on it and zoom in. Must be tied to his facebook account or something, I’m guessing. Look at that picture of him and his 3 gorgeous kids and think happy thoughts his way - PLEEEEEASE!!!

And please pray for his wife who has divorced him, that she would get her mind back and realize that they should be re-united, and she can be the mother of the children again. Thank you all, and God bless you.
