Zombies are roughly the same size as infantry. A little bigger wouldn’t hurt and might look better.
Europe is the only area where space is tight, but that is true of all A&A games.

I took the parenthetical to mean that enemy units dont fire back at the battleship, not that they don’t get to fire back at the other units in combat.   Seems unclear, though first striking bombardments would go against the existing editions.

Agreed. All in all this issue needs a clarification from AH. The clause is mysterious as it refers to an “opening fire step” that does not exist either.

For those interested, photos of our meetup are going up now. Wizards put on a phenomenal spread of food including a mountain of pizza, held a raffle for prizes, and gave us all copies of AAZ! Scott and other developers even signed boxes.

It was truly an amazing event and we’re so grateful to Wizards for their hospitality.

I voted indifferent because I’m still holding out hope that:

The undesirable zombies can be house ruled out.

The map is a good medium sized map (a la Revised/42SE).

The “1939 Scenario” that the WOTC rep mentioned in his interview with A&A.org a few months back is fresh/worth playing.

I’m still willing to hold out hope because the only objectively terrible A&A games are 1941 and Spring 42, the latter of which is only terrible because the small map made the game unplayable.

I’ve gotten over the shock, and now every time I see this board on the forums I get a good laugh.  I honestly cannot wait until this comes out just so I can watch someone talk about it on youtube.
