L23 OOB Al3xanderTheGr8 (X) vs BolasGod (L+40) Game 1
Al3anderTheGr8 over BolasGod due to inactivity.
Sorry, but this “Bolasgod” guy drives me nuts. There is a pattern - he disappears from all of his games, which is really frustrating for all opponents. And this has been the case over years. Can’t there be a sanction?

@Al3xanderTheGr8 I hope you aren’t disappointed, but I don’t think I should count a game that’s waiting on a G1 scramble decision. If you rolled all the G1 dice and they went great and your opponent no-showed, I would count that.
Booper (Allies+21) over Simon33 (X) BM
Clearly Booper is not to be trifled with.
Welcome to the league, you’re making a splash!

Major miscue early on caused me to lose a bunch of German units and I never recovered even though Japan nearly won in the Pacific. So I would say that I lost the game more than he won it.
LOL I was actually wondering if it was something like that. Then he doesn’t have very many impressive wins… yet.
Have enjoyed all my games in the League. Learning lots each match, plenty of room for growth as well! Thx for the games @simon33
Great to have somebody new who’s also winning regularly. I will watch with interest to see who can stop the booper train :eyeglasses:
OK, for those of you who don’t know, it’s a big deal that Mr. Roboto is back.
Last seen in 2019, he has played exactly 200 games of G40 in league play, from 2013 to 2019.
One of his highlights is ripping off 70 games in 2014, the iron man. He edged out Whackamatt who “only” had 69. 69 was not enough for Mr. Roboto, he had to have 70.
Welcome back Mr. Roboto, you deserve this re-introduction because you are a legend around here, for anyone who’s been around awhile. :guitar: :tada: :flag-jp:
Oh wow, so much praise from the gamerman himself. Thanks mate :-)
Yeah I tend to be emotional about being diced, making mistakes afterwards and had to step back a while after getting frustrated.
Then I kinda forgot about the game and now am super happy to be back. Not to enthusiastic yet about PtV but that may be just because I am not used to it.
I don’t know why you waved that Japanese flag at me though haha.
PS: 4 years older, with my 3rd child on the way - although not completely emotionless, I’m sure I can handle bad dice a lot better now ;-)

More than anything I don’t understand how he can play so many games together… :)

Of course I tried it a couple of times, very intriguing especially because of Pacific islands, carrier scrambles, and airbase land scrambles, but also for those reasons I don’t play it because I’m not smart enough to switch back and forth to the regular map, islands, and scrambles. I would have to move completely to it, and I’m not doing that.

That’s how I tested to see if you yet understood what many of us associate with “Mr. Roboto”. Just google it, but it was an iconic, memorable song by Styx in 1983 about a cyborg. The famous line is “Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto” which means thank you very much, in Japanese. I don’t remember what country you’re from.

That is… awesome.
Ah, yes, I have been asked about that song several times, so I know it by now. However, I am not so familiar with the song that I could immediately make the connection to Japan.
Never heard of that Styx song. Did a little research and apparently the only Styx song I like is “Babe”.
I guess its 40th birthday is this year :p

I agree w. you and it takes a while to get used to it.
Also the tactic differs from BM global but adds some very interesting battles and positioning into the game.
I went back and forth for wether i like it or not.
You are right when you say that you should be comitted to one single full game, but you will get the hang of it.
JWW guided me pretty much through and we exchanged insights of our games we played.
Trulpen left some pretty good starting analysis in the PtV Strategic thread as well.
You should try it if you are getting the itch for a very solid complex game, but recommend for you to take your time on the turns and Set it as a term w. your opponent.
@666 was very kind and a very good sportsman, too.
I lost my two games but earned a lot of experiance!
Personally i would love to see people getting the best and the intrest of all of these provided league games including OoB, BM and PtV and Playoffs.
My bait to lure you in gamerman01.
Best regards
AetV
OOB is intriguing but then I remember no India NO and less Russia money, and I don’t miss those days of frantic defense of Russia and India. I think those NO’s alone make the balanced mod great, because Axis can’t just bull rush them and dice decide how much they lose. If I recall correctly.
