@Jacob16 OK I see, you’ve turned the glass upside down. I wouldn’t recommend gmail because the emails never come through, unless you don’t care about them at all and just want to play. In that case I can also just fill in my two dice emails I currently have registered and just play. Cheating doesn’t happen here anyway.

Bmnielsen (axis) beats Gamerman01 (+16)

isn’t the way he plays this strategy frustratingly good? i don’t feel so bad now that i’m seeing other elites falling to it….
i know adam beat him, but i have to say that in that game germany blew more than twice as many bombers on taking london than what the calc average was saying (so TUV was around -100 instead of the average of -2), and that likely made the difference for the allies (not to take away from adam’s skilled gameplay)

was this the dark skies strat at play?
-
Yes, Karl, and since you guys are already talking about it, I’ll have to say -
Otherwise I was trying hard not to complainI got diced hard when attacking one of his main bomber stacks, and then he was able to turn around and sink a big American fleet with them. Earlier in the game, he destroyed a smaller American fleet with fewer losses than average.
I would have beat him if it wasn’t for extreme dice in Rome. I realize I risk sounding like a sore loser complaining about dice, but I think bmnielsen will agree about extreme luck in Rome. I had a good chance of taking the capital, to boot.
-
I’ll just make this very clear right now
I am pretty sure I had bmnielsen dead to rights if I got anything better than a bottom 20% result in Rome, but I got bottom TWO percent.
The Axis are very powerful no matter what strategy they use. I only had a 16 bid, but gave 21 to Ghost, an Allied specialist, in the championship game.
Bmnielsen is an elite player no matter what strategy he’s using, so a lot of his success is due to his A&A abilities, skill, and diligence, not just his bombers. Who else is beating everyone with dark skies? -

We both had lucky and unlucky stretches, but I was ready to call it if London was anything close to average. Bmnielsen is a very good AA player, he could probably do just as well with another Axis strategy. The bomber strat may simply make the Axis advantage even more obvious.

I’ll try to get back in action next year. The only league game i will play any more of this year will be the one against gamer where he hasn’t moved in about 5 months :-P
Gamer, i suggest that we just say now that this game will be slipping into the 2016 league season, if not 2017?
Though I cannot play, i will be eagerly anticipating watching the fireworks in the 2015 league playoffs when they start in November! Great league we have going, and lots of new entrants lately. Very exciting.

We agreed long ago that there was no timeline and that our grandchildren may be finishing it….
Radio silence applies to them too -
