While I think having cuba be its own power would be cool, it would kind of like having New Zealand be its own power in g40. You would have to wonder how much they really contribute. Maybe you could make it so that the Warsaw Pact can pay to build units to support Castro and the gang in cuba, possibly at higher cost cuz of the blockades and embargoes and stuff, if the Warsaw pact is smart, like they were during the cold war, they’ll buff the hell out of cuba to prevent a traditional land invasion, and nukes aren’t always realistic. If they’re dumb then cuba will just be invaded and it will be an opportunity lost, which absolutely could have happened if the ussr wasn’t paying attention. I’m thinking about alternative rules where one or two players play each Nuetral category so it feels like they’re entities and not roadblocks, but I’ve got a ton of stuff I need to do before then soooooo… The setup for cuba will not change for balancing reasons, it accurately represents their power near it’s height, which was also the time when it was diplomatically plausible for the US to invade. For your expansion however, I recommend cuba starts the game Strict Nuetral with an army of one infantry.

Before A&A1914 was released, Larry Harris wrote some reports from his walk through Round 1.
It really built up excitement in my opinion.It would be marvellous if we could read a weekly “Report from the front” of your auspicious game!
Just think about it.
For me thats the best way to get introduced to the rules and mechanics of the game.
At least this makes more fun than reading the 40 pages of rules at a stretch. -

Looks promising but its also a little bit frustrating that there is no release date announced yet.
Hopefully you changed some false tt-names like the Isonzo-tt in Italy or Kosovo in North Serbia.
I would buy all of this beautiful miniatures anyway!!

I thought they’d cleared up the fake tt names. Kosovo should simply be Serbia. Belarus and White Russia are the same thing in Russian and English. What’s with the big Budapest tt? Holland should be Netherlands. Sardinia worth the same as Italian industrial heartland of Piedmont?
Overall I must say I much prefer the graphic style of this map to the muddy appearance of recent A&A games; though I still feel that plain green for land tt is best; after all national colours for tts becomes obsolete after the first turn.
And no UK-Russia convoy? How are the Allies going to get troops over to fight the Bolsheviks?

I don’t mean lend-lease, I mean UK shipping units directly to help Russia via the arctic. Suppose Germany occupies Petrograd, shouldn’t the Allies be able to invade Karelia through the white sea?
Is the map this way to save space for central Europe, or to block this more direct Allied strategy (which I usually use in A&A 1914).

Allies are not allowed to share or capture Russian areas, and if the Capitol falls-Russia is most likely out of game and in revolution. Also, most neutrals except for a few cannot be invaded ( they have a value in case house rule peeps want to know their armies and economic value.) This game is not a game about constant invasions by sea in the North Sea which is impossible anyway.
Also their is no white sea (its off map)
