What did the other playtesters say about the game compared to A&A1914?

Which alliance won last Saturday?

Is it possible to use the miniatures of TGW14-18CoE in A&A1914 without them looking like giants/dwarfs compared to the OOB ones?

Which alliance won last Saturday? ( drawish, we played only till turn 7 before time ended)

Is it possible to use the miniatures of TGW14-18CoE in A&A1914 without them looking like giants/dwarfs compared to the OOB ones? ( in all cases yes, but once you got TGW pieces, nothing will ever be the same except perhaps Infantry sculpts are pretty close. Naval and everything else blows 1914 by infinity.

Italy is done in a light green. In fact we might have discovered something of sorts…

I am no longer fond of dark saturated colors. Over a period of hours we found that you can more effectively visualize the map and pieces if the colors of both had lighter hues and somewhat offsetting colors.

For example, the German pieces are grey and the German land areas are a different hue of grey.

The typical AA maps are too dark and dark territories and same colored pieces tends to “hide” them so it takes longer to calculate decisions during the player turn.

As an example of saturated colors that detract from “seeing” the board position, then yes.

I don�t want to tick you off IL, plus I don�t know nothing about your other projects in work, but I still have to ask you:

Before A&A1914 was released, Larry Harris wrote some reports from his walk through Round 1.
It really built up excitement in my opinion.

It would be marvellous if we could read a weekly “Report from the front” of your auspicious game!
Just think about it.
For me thats the best way to get introduced to the rules and mechanics of the game.
At least this makes more fun than reading the 40 pages of rules at a stretch.

Looks promising but its also a little bit frustrating that there is no release date announced yet.

Hopefully you changed some false tt-names like the Isonzo-tt in Italy or Kosovo in North Serbia.

I would buy all of this beautiful miniatures anyway!!

I thought they’d cleared up the fake tt names. Kosovo should simply be Serbia. Belarus and White Russia are the same thing in Russian and English. What’s with the big Budapest tt? Holland should be Netherlands. Sardinia worth the same as Italian industrial heartland of Piedmont?

Overall I must say I much prefer the graphic style of this map to the muddy appearance of recent A&A games; though I still feel that plain green for land tt is best; after all national colours for tts becomes obsolete after the first turn.

And no UK-Russia convoy? How are the Allies going to get troops over to fight the Bolsheviks?

This is not final map, TT names will change, but deliberately not to your liking.
