Hey all,
A bit random here, as I don’t have a ton of interest in this game. But I’ve certainly seen people here unhappy about the status, so thought I’d share some potential news.
There’s a Facebook page called “Everything Axis and Allies” that I follow. A guy there just today posted that he received a message from the creator of the game. A few people commented with astonishment. The original poster then replied with this direct quote below. I’ll note that he says English isn’t his first language, so any typos I left as is for authenticity:
“Eric Harvey, write me last friday to tell me that they gonna start to print it in the mid august. but i tough the project was cancelled due to the time… haha that’s why i ask some of you if you already play the game ^^”.
So there’s that. I’m happy to report back here if anyone interested. A few people have asked him questions, so I’m curious to see if he responds. I suppose it could be nothing, but sounds like you all might want some hope (or are way past it!).

I can always have it in my will so if it ever comes out somebody will get it.

Yeah, like I said, it could be nothing at all. The fact that it’s August now and none of you contributors have heard anything makes me wonder on the accuracy of this statement. But thought I’d pass along!
There hasn’t been any new communication on that post since I posted here either. I’ll be happy to update you if there is anything more added.

@barnee Haha yeah, I’ve looked in this part of the forum a few times in the past to see if you guys ever got your game! Such a bummer. Yeah, the guy hasn’t responded to other posters, but I’ve also seen him comment on other posts since then. So who knows. It’s probably nothing, but wanted to share with you all!

So based on this thread I checked out the Kickstarter site about 3 days ago; had not been there in a looooong time. There are posts from Eric Harvey saying he is sending out e-mails to double check shipping addresses as the product will “soon” be done. I did post saying my address had changed since I ordered it over 3 years ago and he did reply to my post acknowledging it. Apparently he has about 500 e-mails to send out and he is doing it alphabetically which puts me to the far end.
If I get an e-mail I will let everyone know here. I too wrote this game off long ago and it would be a pleasant surprise to actually get the game; albeit extremely overdue.

I’m backer 466 out of the 477 backers so I’m probably going to be one of the last to be notified by Eric. I went with the top of the line “Special Edition”. After 3 1/2 years of waiting there is hope we may actually get a game.

@unrealius No problem at all! I guess I’m glad I saw it and said something, as that seemed to prompt a probable confirmation from @AndrewAAGamer that he too heard from Eric. Would love to hear from you all if this actually happens!

Has anybody gotten an email from Eric? He says he has emailed everyone but I haven’t received one yet. If anybody has access to him I would appreciate letting him know backer #466 was skipped.
Which leads me to another situation. Since I pledged and paid to support this project, I have tried to email Eric and it’s like I’m completely shut out. I tried to register numerous times but wasn’t allowed to. I did get the update emails so I know I’m on the list of supporters. It seams like Kickstarter was happy to take my $290 and I’m going to be left with no game…

Update:
The communication problem with Kickstarter has been resolved. Out of desperation I re-registered as a complete newbie and then everything worked properly. Kickstarter even recognized my backing of this project. Considering I had been getting Eric’s email updates this seems strange but it worked. It looks like some other backers may have had the same experience.
A big shout out to GEN MANSTEIN for offering to help! Thankfully it is resolved and good to go.
