Update:
The communication problem with Kickstarter has been resolved. Out of desperation I re-registered as a complete newbie and then everything worked properly. Kickstarter even recognized my backing of this project. Considering I had been getting Eric’s email updates this seems strange but it worked. It looks like some other backers may have had the same experience.
A big shout out to GEN MANSTEIN for offering to help! Thankfully it is resolved and good to go.

I really appreciate your You Tube videos. Global War 36 can seem intimidating to those of us who don’t have the time to thoroughly research it. I barely have time for a couple of G40 games a year. It’s very helpful to learn from your mistakes and it’s refreshing to see you so upfront about those. Please keep up the fantastic work.

I have been slowly building up to play GW36, and recently finally got a map from HBG. Both of you will be responsible for starting with a greater understanding of the game and will have saved countless hours of my time having to figure it out.

I’m backer 466 out of the 477 backers so I’m probably going to be one of the last to be notified by Eric. I went with the top of the line “Special Edition”. After 3 1/2 years of waiting there is hope we may actually get a game.

Has anybody gotten an email from Eric? He says he has emailed everyone but I haven’t received one yet. If anybody has access to him I would appreciate letting him know backer #466 was skipped.
Which leads me to another situation. Since I pledged and paid to support this project, I have tried to email Eric and it’s like I’m completely shut out. I tried to register numerous times but wasn’t allowed to. I did get the update emails so I know I’m on the list of supporters. It seams like Kickstarter was happy to take my $290 and I’m going to be left with no game…

I also am playing with the Oil Wars expansion. It has a lot of potential and if properly refined could end up being essential to the Global War 36 experience.
My current game is at US turn July 1944. Oil allocations are:
Germany-Reserves 120 / Production 14
Japan-Reserves 52 / Production 8
Italy (at war)-Reserves 16 / Production 0 with Germany supplying the oil.
Soviet Union-Reserves 10 / Production 6
Great Britain-Reserves 31 / Production 1
FEC & ANZAC-Reserves 32 / Production 3
with the United States lend leasing oil to the Commonwealth
USA-Reseves 67 / Production 11
The first thing to do next game is not give Germany synthetic oil for every major IC. Also having Germany start collecting synthetic oil in July 1938 means they will have plenty.
Next game I will try only one synthetic oil per turn and starting only on the turn after they declare war.
