You just load em up onto your Soviet Black Sea Navy. The one with the Battleship.
[Global 1940] First round no combat. Theory to alternate bid

@Caesar-Seriona In 2 of 208 games, france didnt fall–UK can fly a ton of fighters there (6?) and we’ve done that too. If france doesnt fall, the Axis waste 2 turns trying to kill it, which means the Allies win.
There are many suggestions to tweak turn order, or to make france survive, alot of people want to try this. But I think the game dynamic requires paris to fall in order to preserve any chance of the Axis winning the long game and so if you somehow still think this is a good idea, the bid should go to Axis.

I agree. France must fall T1. Otherwise axis done.
I’ve only seen a few guys try some of these suggestions and play tested them on this site.
I may have missed a few more.
Seems Most post suggestions and some say it won’t work or will. I don’t post nothing unless I know it’s been play tested.
Unfortunately I don’t play g40 due to many things but if I did I would of by now tested most of these g40 suggestions and house ruled. -
If this is to be viable, then the timing of everything needs to be moved back. USA cant declare war until turn 6, etc. It makes no sense to add one round of non combat but allow USA to be at war turn 3.
-
@squirecam Interesting idea, I might try turn 1 no combat with US declares on turn 6.
-
@Caesar-Seriona in some of our live games the US barely even gets to participate before its over…after 8 hours…as it is.
-
@taamvan Unrelated but I have that issue when it comes to HGB 1936 as I can’t get US’ income high enough for them to go to war.

This was a problem with us in HBG 39 1st edition game. Some games not till T5 or 6 as taamvan said. To me and most players don’t want that. That is why we play my 41 game now. Everybody at war. People want US now. By the time they got in war it was time to leave game after 10 hours. Just when it was gettin good.
What you think of just giving US T4 can declare war ? This way Japan can’t delay it and most attack US t3 -
@SS-GEN Fair enough. The only two versions I actively play now is G40 and 1936.

crockett36’s time machine. Handicapping, balancing system.

Would France really be able to hold out? Germany also gets 1 turn to bring more units in range of France and build more units that can attack immediately.
-
@Faramir The objective is not necessarily to get France to survive, it’s to get France away from a script so the player has some freedom.
-
@Caesar-Seriona I know, it is just that some people were saying that it was not a good idea because then Germany could not conquer France G1.
-
@Faramir I get that but while Germany did beat France easy, they certainly didn’t do it in a week.
-
@Caesar-Seriona No, but they did do it in a month and each turn in the game represents how long? 3 months, 6 months… If so taking out France should be relatively easy.
-
We need a Maginot line. No direct route from w ger to paris!

If you want france to survive, you just have to treat it more like China. It loses its capital and all its money, but after that point, it still earns money from what is left of the empire. It can still buy infantry (or other weaker pieces, like destroyers), which it can only place in a limited number or places (examples include FIC, New Hebrides, Africa, London, So Fr, Syria, etc.) I like this in the context of a Minor Allies concept that includes Dutch, Norwegian Merchant Marine, Poles, Free French etc as a kind of guerilla team. Since we agree the game is pro-Axis, a more expansive Minor Allies rule could fit in that space to make that team more viable.

Recruiting stations at least?!
