Didn’t see that before…
Well, the US battleship did take out an AA gun and that turned out to be big… A wrong is partially righted… 😏
Well those guys SHOULD be out of bullets!
I looked over the latest P40 manual and the FAQ, and they are both silent on the question, which really explains the different suppositions each of us have.
~~Then I’m glad I clicked on that most recent link (is actually an answer from just 2 months ago), and SHOCKER!
You move a single Chinese unit to Burma and Japan can’t attack Burma?!!
I guess normally there are no Chinese infantry in Yunnan, but the Chinese fighter to Burma makes a Japan attack on Burma impossible if Japan is not at war with UK - that is HUGE~~
(Edit: strike the above 2 paragraphs, I was temporarily confused)
Never mind, I guess if Japan was going to attack Burma, Japan would be declaring war on the UK anyway.
:p Confusing
@gamerman01 it is a pretty significant thing though since China goes before UK. You can hide the fig there or help stack Burma before the Japanese declare war or without waiting a turn for the UK to declare war. I was definitely quite surprised when I learned it was an option.
Has anyone seen the flying tigers on an airbase and actually make use of the extra space? 🐸
In PTV, how do the Allies win? Is an honorable victory achieved by capturing 14 VCs or must all three Axis capitals be captured?
How often does the standings spreadsheet get updated?

It’s the same as G40/BM, so 3 Axis capitals.

orr… when there’s no path to victory for the axis…

As it should be.
@WindowWasher When Roboto or I get on and see a result posted. Roboto’s been AWOL a few weeks
So Zero minutes to 72 hours normally
@WindowWasher You know we’re using an ELO spreadsheet and the old rankings system was discontinued 12/31/23, right?
@gamerman01 Yep, i just won a game a week ago or so and it hasn’t been put in so i was just wondering
It looked a little different than posted games normally do, was small and inadvertently overlooked.
And MrRoboto and I have been entering and checking, he has been gone a few weeks so it’s just been me entering, with no checking, so overlooked, yes
@gamerman01, can you add some wording to the bidding rules for the NG inf placement that has been a longstanding accepted exception to the normal bidding rules?
Sorry, no.
It’s an exception from the simple rule, which is why it hasn’t been listed.
If we change it, then there is potential confusion with the way it was.
It shouldn’t matter because the “default” is really just a starting point, it’s not actually a rule. And if players can’t agree on whether to allow it or not, you could roll a die, or maybe you shouldn’t play each other.
If a nation that lost its cap plunders a cap, can they use the plundered money?

No, as the player skips all but the Combat Move, Conduct Combat, and Noncombat Move phases until the capital is liberated.

Do they keep the money or is it destroyed?

You collect these IPCs even if your own capital is in enemy hands.
Are the old games / game threads archived anywhere?
I wanted to have a look at some old OOB playoff games, but noticed that in “Post League Game Results Here” there is no result from before the year 2018.
Some Playoff games in the league rankings spreadsheet show a game ID. But entering these into the URL leads to an error message (“not found”).
Does anyone know, or is this rather a question for Dave Jensen? It would be a pity if legendary OOB battles would be lost forever.
