    Hmm, interesting, I felt there wasn’t that much pressure on me, especially on the Western front, Russia was never in trouble, as it could hold in Bryansk and pressure on Egypt was also kind of low. You did a good job amassing income in the Med, but I think you need a better shot at at Russia or be capable of seriously pressuring / taking / swapping Egypt.

    Secondly I think that I got away a little easy in the Pacific. There is no need to surround me with destroyers all game long, just move the fleet to Sz 36, buy 1 harbour and defend Japan / Kiangsu with enough units to stop me from taking it. Make sure you can get the Indonesian Isles (just invest in transports and units to move there, no matter what happens). Swapping those islands back and forth while getting 14ish extra income each turn is huge.
    I feel you were too cautious with Japan, a bit on the water, a bit on the land, a bit on air, but no decisive choice to go either India, Russia, Indonesian isles or ANZAC. A bit of everything, but nothing really well…

    Also I don’t understand why there’s no warship in Sz 5 :-)


  • FYI, jap warship in sz 5 won’t stop lend lease from flowing there unless Japan is at war with Russia.

    Still not sure how I did not have the strength to break into Russia proper. Earlier today, I looked back at the game, to see if I did really not buy enough units for Russia. Perhaps you are right. You have been able to  buy 11 a turn and I have not. I should have concentrated on the East.  Was the Med and Italy’s 25-30 Invome each turn that seduced me, I suppose.
    I have always said the Allies did not have the income to compete and now that has been addressed, I can’t play the Axis. Funny! (Always said, I was not the best anyway.)
    You are (and I knew this) a better player. Is not a problem. Am baffled by my poor situation, is all.
