I am new to the League, but think I am right that a high winning success rate against t3 players puts you in t1.

That is what has happened to me.

Surely it should only put me in t2?

You are 3-0 against tier 3 and 1-2 against tier 1, and you are toward the bottom of tier 1
If you can consistently beat tier 3’s, you will be in tier 1, yes, because that would be a 4.00 average

Understand that is how it works. Just think that this system overvalues my abilities! That consistently beating t3s might better put me in t2. Then beating t2s would put me in t3.

But unless others have said something similar in the past the vague ramblings of this League novice should not count for much.

Yeah, if you’re really not tier 1 material, then one of the tier 3’s will beat you before too long.  You only have 6 games - keep playing and see  :-)

After 8-10 games, the PPG is usually quite accurate

But you know, many players don’t have the “never give up, never surrender” mentality - don’t discount the benefits of that tenacity!

I think the system is mostly reasonable. Winning 75% against t3s will put you in t2. You need to win at least 7 in 8 to reach tier 1.

A loss against Tier M is as good as a win against Tier 3 though.

If you can get a game with a tier M
And tier M players are 86-11, so yeah you get 4!

10 of those losses are to other tier M’s.  The other is to JuanSpain who is upper E and only 3 games completed
So yeah, if you can get a tier M to play you, you get 4 points
