I don’t have AAP 1940 SE, but I’ve been looking at the pdf of the SE edition to see what changed from the first. Looking at the AAP SE changes vs. Global SE I notice the UK Pacific starting income is 16 rather than 17 for Global. This is due to the transfer of West India’s income to the Pacific and the North American UK territories are part of the European UK. (You probably already have this correctly entered for your map, but it is worth noting for those who are trying to reconstruct AAP 1940 SE using a first edition box and the Europe Global SE rules/box.)
Pacific 1940 2nd Edition

ANZAC units look great the Inf. looks awesome. Between how good the French, Chinese, and now ANZAC it’s starting to make the original Inf. look kind of outdated.
-
A Bristol Beaufort… interesting. hoping for a beaufighter, but it’ll do…
Wait… that doesn’t look like a spitfire either. Did they get a new fighter? Is it the kittyhawk? I can’t quite tell if it’s the same sculpt as '41. Doesn’t look like it. Wing shape is wrong…
A Boomerang perhaps?

Are you guys that have the first edition going to get this one after seeing the pieces and changes
-
Will get Europe as I prefer “my” half of the world(live in England) and I am desperate for Italian sculpts(I was born there). Think I can do without Pacific.
For now!
Will try to sell my 1st Ed to a friend. -
Yea, I just wonder if people will still pay the $100 plus to get the first. It will be interesting to watch this all unfold.
-
Not greedy. Would like half the price of the new one, whatever that will be.
-
I pre-ordered the new one for $58.
-
Wow. That makes me hopeful. Was expecting £70-80 from AmazonUK.
-
$58 for Pacific or Europe. Lucky for me, I never got the first editions.
-
any other pics of the new pieces like anzac fighter or Japanese mech?
-
I remember when PAC and Eur 1940 were originally released here in the UK they were going for around £60-65 retail price. Somehow I’m getting the feeling that these new versions are going to be about £70-odd at least. We’ll see, eh.
-
1942 2nd Ed is so expensive compared to 1941.
These two have to be priced higher. And that will make it double what it is in the US.
A big hike on 1st edition is annoying. -

I certainly will, for the pieces. For instance, one of my plans is to use the new ANZAC infantry pieces as ANZAC troops and to use the first edition’s “ANZAC” infantry pieces (British troop pieces in the ANZAC colour) to represent other Commonwealth troops like the Canadians.

Those three shots were the only pictures VanGal sent me. I don’t know if he has plans to take additional shots, but it would indeed be nice to see some more views.

Nice idea. I really believe if London falls, all income on that turn should go to the conqueror obviosly, but that on subsequent turns Canada should collect the 7IPCs for its territories until London is liberated.
I am sure some of you play that. -
I am getting both games for sure. Â Gonna blend in the new pieces for more variety. Â I will also be selling lots of pieces from the 2nd editions on eBay, so anyone that doesn’t want the full game but wants new pieces keep an eye out for them. Â I love doing it. Â After all is said and done, I make a little bit which I use to help pay for my daughters daycare. Â Don’t make a ton, but I enjoy the process and have met some very nice people whom love A&A like I do. Â

Do you even pay the German player to take London, just so you get to liberate it?
-
It must be a lot of fun as you have so little to spend and so much to deal with.
I have a personal interest in Italy and am passionate about its fate and how I play it, so can imagine how much playing Canada must mean to you all.
