That just says you can fly over neutral after they are attacked. It doesn’t say that you can plan to fly over a neutral in NCM to land a plane that has no other legal spot.

@Adam514 as long as you have a chance of a legal landing spot at the end of the mobilization phase, you can do the combat moves.

i guess i am reading this part of the statement “which means that during the noncombat movement following the combat move that was the attack on said neutral…” as meaning it takes effect immediately. and that last statement at the end further reinforces this interpretation by emphasizing that the flight over cannot happen during the combat movement, just on the way back during noncombat. let me see if i can get @Krieghund to weigh in on this for us.

Chinese aren’t allowed to move in UK territory if UK isn’t at war with Japan yet right? Even in OOB? Referencing the move to Burma on China1.

Absolutely right, UK and China can’t collaborate until UK at war with Japan
(Edit - China can actually enter Burma before UK is at war with Japan)

@gamerman01 actually I believe they can. I remember this coming up before and getting this clarified. A quick google search brought me this answer from Krieghund. THis is specific to pacific but I assume applies to global too.

I looked over the latest P40 manual and the FAQ, and they are both silent on the question, which really explains the different suppositions each of us have.

You move a single Chinese unit to Burma and Japan can’t attack Burma?!!
I guess normally there are no Chinese infantry in Yunnan, but the Chinese fighter to Burma makes a Japan attack on Burma impossible if Japan is not at war with UK - that is HUGE~~
(Edit: strike the above 2 paragraphs, I was temporarily confused)

Never mind, I guess if Japan was going to attack Burma, Japan would be declaring war on the UK anyway.

@gamerman01 it is a pretty significant thing though since China goes before UK. You can hide the fig there or help stack Burma before the Japanese declare war or without waiting a turn for the UK to declare war. I was definitely quite surprised when I learned it was an option.
