By the way how did the US bonuses go? Did you get the correct amount? Or did the US 20 IPCs per theater?
We need an allied playbook.

@barnee Hmm - no, I didn’t even know there was a thread for that. I only recently came back to the forum. When I try to download Triple A I’m told I need a new version of Java, but I can’t seem to down load the version needed. I had a computer tech guy look at it. He thought he could fix it for me but never got to it… I’ll take a look at the Gargantua thread.
-
@Guam-Solo yea I think java 8 either 191 or 201 is what’s needed. I’m not sure if the new javas work with it or not. If you have trouble ask @Panther
-
@barnee Indeed, Java 8 is needed for the current TripleA stable (1.9.0.0.13066). It is always recommended to have the latest update installed (currently update 201).
@Guam-Solo I recommend that you check our dedicated TripleA Support Category, especially the stickied topics there. You’ll find everything you need. In case you need support, just ask. :slightly_smiling_face:

@crockett36 Why did the UK park their fleet off Malta instead of doing the Taranto raid or stacking in the safer sz92?
-
The reason to do Toronto Crockett is to get rid of the extra transport. Nobody really cares about the battleship and crusier. Its that second transport Italy has to reinforce Alexandria, take and keep Gibraltar, evacuate Africa if needed, etc.
-
@weddingsinger I m going to repost maybe tonight with a variation on the theme of operation ricochet. I think I just had an idea.
-
@DessertFox599 good point
-
@Panther Thanks - I’ll check it out and maybe PM you if there are problems.

revised for 92 stack. pretty beefy english turn, if i do say so myself. unlucky in iraq. 3 guys, 3 hits. won’t look so pretty after ita turn, but assets. it’s all about the assets. I’m an asset man.

I think it’s both. With the 4 surface ships Italy starts with, Italy can defend it’s transports against some attacks. Depends what the allies put in range of course. Without the fleet, any attack after getting Greece means suiciding transports.
-
That 92 stack ends up being both a great way to save ships as well as a counter to sea lion.
-
@crockett36 correct analysis.
-
Id probably skip on Iraq and go for Ethiopia. Its too dicey
-
@DessertFox599 I agree about Iraq and against a German player who goes hard at Moscow, Persia is the safer choice. UK can (hopefully) put a complex there and start sending stuff north immediately. Your 2 transports can shuck to Cairo easy enough instead of needed a factory in Iraq or Cairo.
-
Persia is the most useful but also the most exposed location. Troops from Egypt/South Africa take an extra turn to reach it overland. I don’t know how much of an issue that is but it’s enough for me to prefer the Persia factory.
Not sure what you mean about it being safer though. Troops retreating from Calcutta get there one turn earlier?
-
@simon33 Safer to take UK1… since no chance you’ll get diced.
