Great thank you Panther!
It seems the answer was hiding in plain sight in those 3 words… “ending its movement”!

In the Rockets rules, unless the answer is hiding in plain sight once again, nowhere it refers to an actual hit roll to be made!
Is this attack an auto-hit or the rules as intended imply that you have to roll for hit first? -
@Soviet-Steamroller
From the rulebook, page 12:- Rockets. Your antiaircraft guns are now rocket
launchers. In addition to its normal combat function,
during the strategic bombing raid step of your
Conduct Combat phase each turn, each of your
antiaircraft guns can make a single rocket attack
against an enemy industrial complex within 3 spaces
of it. This attack does 1d6 damage to that complex. In
each turn, only one AA gun per territory may launch
rockets, and each industrial complex can be attacked
by only one rocket launcher. Rockets may not be fired
over neutral territories.
So roll a die and apply the result as damage. “1d6” means one six-sided die.

Thank you for taking the time to answer Panther.
Now that being said i still feel the answer is not bullet proof!Don’t get me wrong, i know you give official answers and your word is law but still i would like to have a clear cut answer to prevent any argument at the table next time!
So again my question is, in a simpler form, do rocket needs to roll to hit in order to do damage or not?
Thank you
-
@Soviet-Steamroller No hard feelings.
Rockets do always hit (“This attack does 1d6 damage”). They hit causing either 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 damage (the result of a 1d6 roll).
Have I understood your concern better now? -
You perfectly did!
Thank you very much. -
Do the Rockets have a range restriction? Or can they go as far as they want?
For example, can a German AA gun fire rockets from France and hit the American IC in Washington?
-
Its only 3 spaces from the territory the rocket is in. The rule is explained in the above post.
