IL's Big Map

Do you have an close up photos of your map printed at “Flag and Banner” that shows the quality produced?

Just print one page of the map on your own computer at maximum quality and add 50%.

You have been probably asked this before.  But, is their a way to print this off with my printer at home with out having to each page off.  An then line up your page again before your print another page off?  Sorry if it’s a stupid question.

if you have a canon printer, set it to poster setting and borderless. If not then yes you have to wing it by printing section by section. You will have to overlap by .5 inches and cut each page to do it correctly.

AAA uses a HP5000 large format deskjet printer at max resolution of 1200 x 600

Thanks IL.  I have an HP.  I had a feeling that it was going to be the latter of the two. :-(  Oh well.  I can’t wait to have this printed up.  You know of any places that sells the game pieces separately, so I can add on enough units from my revised set?

just preorder the AA42 game for $25.99 like i did. Repaint some British for Italian from an older AA Milton Bradley set.  You can also use the MB german which are light grey so that will be better.

I had a 36" X 72" map printed as one sheet with a 5 mil laminate on both sides for $100.00

OK I understand the new AxisAlliesMega map, that is the combined AAE40 and AAE40, will be 70 inches by 35 inches, so that is very comparable to IL’s fine map.

How does that compare to the AA50 map size, is that significantly larger? I’m at work so I can’t measure the AA50 map.

And by the way how does that measure up to The Wargame: WWII by Pegasus board game size??

no. that thing is huge. I have 2 copies of the original map which is 8 x 4 feet

I just wanted to let you know I think that is one sweeeet map you made. :-D

I downloaded both chart and no chart versions and it came up on my Adobe Professional Program with a warning that it may not display correctly, but everything looks good to me. So I printed on our printer at work here on a 11 X 17 ledger size in full color to see and wow it looks good. I assumed this is only for AA50.

There is a place in Calgary here that prints up to 60" wide paper X as long as you want and they laminate as well. I have a couple of home made maps I done over the years (Pacific and Europe - before they existed, 4’ X 3’) and they laminated all of them for me, so they should make this map look fantastic. It is way better then the three pieces you place together that always move around, and the laminate also protects from drunk player spills, which is great as it can happen.

You really do spend a lot of time working on this stuff for everyone’s elses pleasure.  :-)

If I could leave positive feedback for you I would, but not enough posts yet, so someone else please do it for me as IL deserves the praise. 8-)

I just picked up that new 42 and we are gonna try it next weekend, so I will check out that map of yours as well.

Once I get thie AA50 map printed, laminated, and set-up, I will take a picture and post it so you can see.

Your new picture confused me at first, because I was used to your soldier guy.

I had it printed on banner material 80" x 36.5 "  layed cut up boards of 3/4 sanded ply wood on top of 3 x 6’ table then covered map with plexi glass sheet 3 x 6
