    I really don’t understand the movement limits for planes. I thought airfields gave you a +1 to move.

    Why can’t a train pick up 1 unit, move, pick up another unit, and move both units somewhere. Just like a transport?

    When planes start on an airfield, (or a sea fighter on a carrier) they get 4 moves.
    Otherwise they get 2. When you research increased fighter range, they get +1 movement.

    The creators state that they cant make the trains work like that due to the TripleA engine mechanics. I suggest we play like the game allows even if its a bit awkward.

    Regarding trains, if it is permitted by the regulation it could/should be edited.

    I don’t remember if it’s one of those cases where the Triple A engine doesn’t arrive and editing is allowed…

    I actually ran into this problem too and gave up…

    Strange game. We’re on Turn 4 but not much has happened–from my perspective.
    Seems like you have to spend many turns just building infrastructure to enable any advances.

    On the other hand, the map is soooo BIG that try as I might, I can’t help the Russians–or much of anyone. I might some day be able to invade something besides N.Africa, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

    Additionally, because the map is so large, it seems that any territory gains are tiny. It’s hard to take more than 1 territory / round. But unlike G40 where there are key territories, it’s not clear to me that anything is game changing. It’s more like chess or Risk where you slowly build up and make small incremental advances to march on the enemy–until you can just roll over them.

    Building is VERY frustrating. It’s hard to move material overseas due to the need to have a truck, and that can’t be the initial focus, you have to establish beachhead first. After invasion, it can be several turns until you’re ready to attack again.

    I miss the bonus sea movement from harbors! IMHO, the map is large enough to support that upgrade

    I havent yet figured out what the winning criteria is? I dont think it is in the rules!!

    Japan is very different. I invaded 13 territories on turn 1.

    I like the logistics part of the game the best. Having to build and maintain long supply lines seems so realistic.
    btw, if you have a dock, you dont need a truck to load material.

    if they dont land on an airfield or carrier their movement is halved. Fighters can improve their range by 1 with technology

    This game is very different from Global or the usual versions…

    I think several rounds of play are needed (and related logistical preparation especially for those coming from the sea but not only) before getting into the swing of things…

    And I don’t think there is much chance of reversing the situation if you have spent badly or thought of one strategy rather than another
