Thank you! Okay, so I did interpret it correctly the first time.
Which German divisions are on the starting setup?
-
The map and setup of the D-Day game shows what Allied divisions are landing on the first turn (and the airborne troops as well) represented by the pieces, but it does not show what German divisions are represented on the board at the start of the game.
Does the community have any ideas about that?
Thank you!

Probably based on they didn’t have any main groups in area when allies landed.

Thank you for responding!
Perhaps, but some research shows that a few static divisions were garrisoning the beaches of Normandy at the time of the invasion. If so, which units on the starting map were part of which division? Thank you!

The one or 2 tanks on setup close to shoreline are probably what your talking about.
Do your research and find out what divisions they are.

Got it! I’ll research them myself (as I said, there were only static divisions in the area, so the presence of three tanks (which I think translates as three regiments, or a whole division) is odd. Maybe it represents the 21st panzer division, which historically fought there, which is not represented on the reinforcement chart.

Well, there is a little problem: Wikipedia says there was one static division, one infantry division, one panzer division and one understrength static division in the area that he game board shows. Unfortunately, based on the amount of units in each division on the reinforcements chart, there are way too many pieces to represent 3.8 divisions at the start of the game.
