Nevermind I guess. I just ran the battle and though it asked me to scramble it did not conduct combat. What am I missing? Did I need an infantry in both locations?
Oh dear. I forgot the land scramble rules…I was only thinking of water routes. But it did the same for me. Obviously, I prefer this interpretation of the scramble rule–need land unit to defend, but seems like rules are changing.
@surfer Yeah, I think when we started this game carriers and air bases protected Land and Sea areas. I think they have now changed the rules that a least a single land unit or single ship has to be in the sea zone for the planes to be able to scramble to it. Makes it interesting to play a game when they change the rules in the middle of it. :)
