Up until this point I was really mindful to make sure it wasn’t easy. I think I left a couple of times you could have done it but using up all your planes to do so.
I think that retreat from Amur may have been ill advised or at least premature. I mulled it over for a while though. Wondered if you’d go that way.
About time USA got installed on the Carolines. Still needs ANZAC help to hold it. Can’t forget that.

Hmm. I wonder if I was thinking about that, and/or stopping the Germans coming east? Sounds like you didn’t even need to use your transport.
Bummer about Java - I wanted that battle. Too much chance of needing to move the CV to SZ42 if I used 2 planes. Wasn’t worried so much about the plane - wanted to save the CV.

Correct, the Japanese did not need to add any land units by transport.
With 2 hits by ANZAC in the first round, I was surprised the outcome was favorable to the Japanese. Good strategy sending just the one fighter, which in all probability, could be taken as a lost. I agree it would have been suicide and a waste to use the CV to send another fighter.
