I’m playing an opponent who is preventing Vichy from occurring by having the UK attack Italy’s destroyer and transport in SZ96 from SZ98 with a destroyer, cruiser, tactical from aircraft carrier in SZ98 and a fighter from Malta. Italy’s destroyer is sunk (and transport). Then in the Non-Combat phase, UK loads the transport in SZ98 and lands UK troops in Southern France. Since France is still an ally at this point, this is legal and effectively prevents Vichy mode, since Germany will now have to take Southern France on its next turn. There isn’t any way to prevent this as far as I can tell.

@simon33 Actually Kamis cannot attack ships that aren’t part of the nation doing the turn, so they also don’t prevent unloading off allied ships.

No. There will be no kami because there will be no sea-battle.

Of course, there could be scramble, but then the nation making the landing would have to commit air to win the air-battle. Still no kamikazes.

Can anyone please assist with a rule clarification… Are you allowed to purchase an AC from any minor IC or is it a requirement that you also have a naval base in the same location?

@ghostglider In BM there’s no such requirement, you can place any unit anywhere that has a factory.

That restriction does exist in Path to Victory, fyi.

@imperious-leader Not sure what you’re referring to. All the materials needed to enjoy G40 Balance Mod are included in the game files that are part of the TripleA map download.
For table top gameplay, the map and unit placements are identical to G40 OOB.

@regularkid It’s a great mod and I really enjoy playing it, but the info about bombers costing 14 IPCs isn’t on the first page, at least not that I can see.

Are the rules just what you wrote on page 1? Don’t you have a document that you can download? Forget AAA. Most people are playing the board game. I figured you might have some pretty decent 2-3 page document? Balance mod is like 5 paragraphs of text?

@simon33 I just updated game notes to specify the new cost for Bombers. If you delete and reinstall Balanced Mod, you will see the change reflected. Thanks for pointing this out, guys.

@imperious-leader our primary audience is the TripleA/League community. That being said, the rules to BM are identical to those of G40, except as otherwise stated in the first post of this thread, and in the TripleA game notes. If you would like to make a document containing these rules for Tabletop use, I’d be happy to link to it at the top of the thread. I know, for example, that others have already made National Objective cards, which you can find linked in an earlier post.
