Just like to say that there is a Star Wars “Risk” edition.
Perhaps I could swap some FW190 from my AA1941 to Tie Fighters?

We have also seen that lightsabers tend to be “sticky” in that the blades don’t slide along one another hence the lack of cross guards in the previous films: they aren’t needed on these weapons.
While I understand people describing lightsaber dynamics as “sticky”, I have never personally viewed them as such. There certainly has never appeared to me to be any stickiness to the fight sequences. If anything the saber contact usually lasts a fraction of a second or they simply are being pushed together by the users.
There is definitely some saber on saber movement here at 1:52 and 2:13 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRd9PGmAQUE#t=110
There is some movement but neither blade is sliding up to the cross guard. Either way I don’t like that longsword lightsaber.
This lightsaber epitomizes the style over substance I’ve come to expect from JJ.
The rather ridiculous shot in the teaser that follows the Millennium Falcon through an upside down loop sealed the JJ-ness for me. Well that and the crazy little soccer ball droid. The first was very obviously a non-traditional Star Wars shot. Jarringly so.
I thought that was horrible. It would have been okay if it were a cockpit view but otherwise what are they trying to show? Especially with more or less a tight zoom. That Falcon shot was awful. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.

The soccer ball droid is official known as:
FIFA-D2 -
@CWO:
Jarringly so.
One might even say Jar-Jarringly so. :-D
I was not about to go there, but I figured someone might.

A couple of amusing articles on the infamous crossguard lightsaber. I especially like the Swiss Army knife version in the second article.

Hey guys there’s a new feature on the made-up space laser sword that might not be realistically functional

I go with FIFA-D2 as Gargantua called him early. :-D

Fair enough. Besides, “FIFA-D2” has the advantage that it avoids potential confusion (at least in the minds of naval history people) with that other “BB:8”, the pre-dreadnought USS Alabama:

Darth Zannah used a similar one for example. :-)
Zannah, what a Sith Babe.
I would love to see a Darth Bane movie.

A Daaaark Sith babe

What do you all think of Star Wars Rebels?
-
no pay-tv, no SWR. Clone Wars didnt thrill me, doubt Rebels will, but lets see. Any good so far?
-
I have enjoyed the series, sad with no working Jedi Order.
-
do they feature Palpatine and Vader, in any way?
-
Not really. It plays 14 years after “Revenge of the Sith” and 5 years before “a new Hope”.
There is a man called Inquisitor and has a funny double blade Lightsaber.
He Looks older then Vader and is some sort of an Sith. It looks like he is tolerated by the Empire and the Emporer since he is allowed to give orders to Imperials.
Ezra is Force sensitive and a youngling who is getting trained by an other Force sensitive man called Kanan Jarrus. -
Thx. Without the Emperor, hm……hopefully over the course of the series
-
Haven’t really got to see any of “Rebels” but I’ve been enjoying the “Lost Episodes” of the Clone Wars series now that I’ve got them on blu-ray.
My thing with Rebels is that it seems so very much “by the numbers” from the announcement stuff I followed. Not so much that it would be “bad” but that there wouldn’t be a lot of “there” there. I came across it in the guide but I didn’t get that station in my cable package and never went back to look for it.

Besides the famous Yoda, who is favorite member of the Jedi Council?
