That’s what I thought. Thank you! :)
Do -downgraded- factories keep their damage?
-
A major factory has 10 damage on it.
You sack and capture it. How much damage does it have now?
-
last I checked when a Major becomes a Minor it becomes a minor with 6 damage markers. and whenever a minor is captured it receives 6 damage markers. and a minor can never have more than 6 damage markers. but between all the changes and a recent concussion i’m alittle fuzzy on this one
-
It becomes a minor with 6 damage. As a minor cannot have more than 6.
-
-
Yes 6 damage.
-
whenever a minor is captured it receives 6 damage markers.
Not true. Captured ICs don’t receive extra damage markers.
-
What?
So if I capture it, it’s repaired?

Sounds like I need to do another Rules learning game. Because I missed something. Is it a change I missed? Or is it the concussion making me scatter brained?
-
What?
So if I capture it, it’s repaired?
That’s not what I said. I said it is not damaged any further than it already is through the act of being captured.
Is it a change I missed?
Nope. It’s always been that way.

hhhmmmmm… ok well I’m doing another rules learning game then.

So Krieghund, we still need a clear official answer on what happens to a major IC with 10 damage on it when its captured. Germany bombed Moscow’s Major IC and it now has 10 damage on it. Next turn Germany captures the IC. Does it keep the 10 damage after its been changed into a minor, or does it drop down to 6 damage?
My understanding is that it drops down to 6.
-
It is a minor with 6.
I said that, so Krieg could have just said: Wittman is correct.
They have said: Wittman is incorrect, when I was! -
Sorry Gliven. You said it 1st. I remember i was confirming what you said!
-
I’m sorry but this is all incredibly vague…

My question is very simple, and is still officially unanswered.
A factory has 10 damage on it. It becomes captured by an enemy force. Does it retain 10 damage? or does it reduce to 6 damage? (Effectively repairing itself - albiet with reduced output!)
Thank you for your patience…
-
It’s reduced to 6. A factory can never have more damage assigned to it than it can possibly sustain.
-
A minor complex may only have 6 damage markers - period.
Any major complexes that are captured by the enemy are immediately reduced to minor complexes - period. Therefore, it is a minor complex and thus, may not have more than 6 damage markers.
Note: This does not scale. If the Major had 3 damage markers when it was taken, it now has 3 damage markers but is a minor complex.
-
Thank you for your comments - I believe everyone is correct - but this…
is still officially unanswered
-
Here is a new wrinkle. Major IC receives 10 damage, then is captured. It is now reduced to minor with 6 damage. What if it is now retaken by the original owner, it can be upgraded again to Major but only has the 6 dam? Or does it have 10 again since that is what it had originally???
-
It only has 6 damage, even if upgraded again.
-
We just ran into this last night.
pg 21
Any damage previously inflicted on a facility remains in
place until it is repaired (any damage markers beyond 6
on former major industrial complexes are removed). In addition from the unit profiles pg 27
A damaged minor complex may not be upgraded, so any damage on the industrial complex must be repaired at the same time that the upgrade is purchased.
