Tigerman's Barbarossa Game now at HBG

I am making some changes to the rules and the setups, mostly rules. One is the Minors armor units will be light tanks and not medium or heavy.

OK, this means that minors will have only light tanks? What about the rules for Generals?

�  � We need some rules for generals otherwise no need for tokens. I can always house rule somthing of course. Also army cards will be needed for this game. See photo with army card glued on one of HBGs coasters.

Do not hold your breath until all the changes stop. This Barbarossa game is still in the testing stages. Look how many changes Larry Harris made through the years. Started with a simple global game and now how many are there now? Plus two Europe and two Pacific games. Axis and Allies games are always about change. Trying to improve and make them better. Jump into Barbarossa with both feet and post your thoughts.

As soon as Tigerman posts new rule updates, will start playing. Just bought a bunch of pieces that some can`t be used now. I will use them in my 39 game.  :-P

Here is today’s test game of Barbarossa. Situation after one turn. Notice that Russia has a rear guard blocker in every zone ready for turn two.

Here we are after six turns when we stopped todays session. Second photo shows the front lines. Snow and rain plus Russian rear guard have slowed the axis advance. The Russians are now at full production.

This is so true. Remmber that Larry has a lot more in resourses than I. So that means you guys are key in making these games better!!  I know it can be frustrating at times to play a game that has a few broken rules but that is why your feedback is so valuable.  I have an update version of the rules already sent to HBG for reviewing so it shouldn;t be too much longer.

  This is so true. Remmber that Larry has a lot more in resourses than I. Here is the latest Tigerman setup for Barbarossa. We started this game 03/04/13.

The third turn of last monday’s game.  Weather was good through 3 turns.

Then it rained and grounded the Luftwaffe which had neglected to base their planes at an airfield. The Russians were waiting for this opportunity and counter attacked.

Situation at the end of turn 5. The northern German thrust toward Leningrad has been turned back. See Russian army cards in second photo. Whenever you see a unit with a flag on the map that represents an offmap army group. Will attempt to see this game to conclusion 03/11/13. It looks a little more promising for the Russians now as they have reached full production.

Starting turn 6. The Germans have not done a good job of keeping supplies to the front.

The Germans are closing in but time is running out. The weather is starting to turn bad. All German planes not on a hard surface airfield are grounded.
