Bring back Washington’s Birthday, Lincoln’s Birthday not one “presidents day”
Dump MLK day, Caesar Chavez Day, Cinco De Mayo, Bangles day, Indian reservation month/day, all that rif raf
Change it back the Christmas and not this “happy Holidays” thing.
No Quanza either or Wicken day
And military parades should return. Imagine our soldiers marching down 5th ave New York. Glorious!

o, u read lewrockwell.com too. I mean get rid of all holidays, people should be allowed to work/take off any days they like. Personally I cant stand presidents day, and find it hilarious how people hate their current presidents, but somehow think that past presidents were better. Most of them were crooks (particularly Lincoln).

Whats funny, and what none of you but Canuck12 know, is that at work I often make monkey sounds throughout the work day, and that they echoe through the concrete super structure. What’s funnier, is how some of the other “animals” I work with respond…. lol
What’s funnier, is back in the day I used to run an exterior man lift, a giant cage that acts as a temporary building elevator. after literally bieng paid to be trapped in this cage, I always felt the need to jump around, banging on the cage, making ape sounds, and scaring passers by on the street

If you want to say you incorrectly used the term riff raff for a day rather than for the people then I will accept your apology for the butcher of the English language. I will then off my apology for expecting you to use English words and phrases correctly.

OK so a few years ago I was working at one institute of higher learning and I actually sat through a heated faculty meeting in which many of my esteemed colleagues were arguing that the university should not have the day off for Remembrance Day because it glorifies war. That’s a good example of the mentality of these “intellectuals”.

If True, then I can accept that you made an error in english language usage and didn’t mean to imply that the people the holidays represented were riff raff but that the holidays themselves were bogus.
If False then you are implying MLK is riff-raff which I would disagree with.
So help me understand which of these is the case.

Vance, you would think those so-called intellectuals would understand the concept of “False equivalence”. By similar logic, remembering the life of your grandma on the anniversary of her death glorifies cancer because that is what killed her. It;s amazing the great pleasure some people seem to take in their displeasure. If only some of those busy-bodies actually spent half that energy actually doing something for the ‘good’.

I somehow knew it was a self referential comment. And i was only $4 bucks off on the cheap sunglasses comment, so otherwise a good day.
AS for rif raf, MLK HOLIDAY is rif raf. Only the best get a national holiday, therefore Lincoln and Washington get back their days. MLK was good but not that good.
BTW in case you can’t read, i said rif raf, not riff raff. rif raf can mean many things my son.

If you would recall the image of Clint Eastwood arguing with a chair……that was the mental imagery I was trying to convey about a fictitious person saying Martin Luther King was Riff Raff. I don’t mean to imply I think Clint Eastwood would say that about MLK, just the mental imagery he presented in that weird episode on stage with him and the empty chair. Moreover, I don’t know what you look like nor anything about you so even if I was attacking you IL, it could not be personal in the way you are attacking me. And you are attacking me personally and not my ideas on this forum. What kind of liaison does that?
The proper usage of the word “Riff Raff” applies to people, not days. Ergo it would be reasonable to think you were implying MLK was Riff Raff. If that was the case then yes, you would remind me of an old crusty white guy shaking his fist at the changing world.
So back again to your incorrect usage of the English language and your unwarranted personal attacks on me based on my appearance of my photo which you in-correctly assumed showed a fat wife beating white guy driving a pickup truck.
