    I still had some hope when I gambled on the neutrals. And even though I messed up that turn, I wanted to see how this would play out another round. But this is very hopeless and getting more so by the second. Good game and, as always, well played!

    Amazing game, gratz AD!
    The key takeaway seems to be that if the Germans cause enough havoc, the Axis can still succeed, even without much support from the Luftwaffe for a while.

    There has to be a better way to counter JDOW4 though. I can’t believe J4 is that dominant.

    thanks for the great game, it was very interesting and fun right to the end! yeah the thought of such a large russian stack controlling turkey and poised to invade europe with seemingly no resistance was a scary thought, but i think with as mobile as germany was and having substantial help from italy as well as now the japs coming into play, that sorta neutralized that threat. and i felt that hard stacking to threaten spain would be enough to convince you it was time to waive the white flag. glad we got our 2nd game in this year. happy to do a rematch any time just lmk.

  • @axis-dominion I realized too that you were going to be able to knock out, or trap that Soviet stack if I kept trying to stay there or move into Europe. Too much air and too many fast movers and the stack was shrinking. And I just could not be turtling there anymore.

    The J4 worked very well. It’s hard to say whether it would have made a difference ultimately, but I had some different choices UK1 which I think in hindsight would be better to respond to this. I had an option to do Taranto, to block the Germans from reaching Gib, or to deny Vichy. I ultimately was too concerned about you taking London and that anxiety may have impacted my choices too much. And the risk to the fleet in 92 was simply too great since the Germans could simply block the exit. My thinking there was that if I lose this, the benefit is you lose air that you would need against the Soviets, and once the Americans are in I will get this back. It did slow you against the Soviets but I needed to get Gibraltar long before US10 for it have been justifiable.

    I’ll do another. I’m tempted to redo the same terms but if you prefer to switch sides or bid, I can do that too.
