Just an update on the Support Drive. For various reasons, including slightly lower expenses, I’m not pushing it for 2020. However, 2021 will not be like that so expect an in your face support drive in early January.

Thanks Dave! In to win again for 2024!

I’m thinking of adding 2 new tiers:
- Service Patron or War Patron, black on white, can not be purchased, only awarded by a Distinguished Patron.
- Allows more than the new proposed 4 game limit for League
- Can upgrade for a 20% discount, once per account lifetime
- Distinguished Patron (red background, like me, or blue?) $120
- Can award 4 Service Patron badges
Other notes:
- All patrons do no have a 4 game limit for League.
- If you win all of your free 4 games, you either “win” a Service Patron badge or you just don’t have the limit.
- Service Patron or War Patron, black on white, can not be purchased, only awarded by a Distinguished Patron.

@djensen In for gold for my first year. Hopefully we can get those numbers back up.
-
Ooh, nice ideas!
-
@djensen hi . I just paid for my Gold badge, but forgot (couldn’t see how) to put it was me. Sorry!

To increase the IPC Income for the Axis & Allies. org Support Drive, we suggest the following system:
-
Bronze Patron Badge: $15 USD
-
Bronze Patron 2nd Class Badge: $20 USD
-
Bronze Patron 1st Class Badge: $25 USD
-
Silver Patron Badge: $30 USD
-
Silver Patron 2nd Class Badge: $40 USD
-
Silver Patron 1st Class Badge: $50 USD
-
Gold Patron Badge: $80 USD
-
Gold Patron With Oak Leaves: 100 USD
-
Gold Patron Badge With Oak Leaves and Swords: $120 USD
-
Gold Patron Badge With Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds: $140 USD
The above graduation could be named differently - this is just an example. The outcome should be the same.
Each Patron Badge should be illustrated as now at each members profile.
Furthermore, each Patron Badge should be produced in metal and shipped to the members.
The costs for the metal badge & shipping are paid by the member.Captain

Good idea!
-
Interesting idea to give sort of military ranks.
However that would be certainly good to encourage people already donating to donate even more.
IMHO the problem rather is, that far too few people donate to the site.
So how can we encourage more people to at least donate whatever amount of money?
-
I think more people giving what they can , is a better way forward, rather than a select few doubling what they contribute. But I suppose both would work.
I have been on this site a long time and have been very happy to pay £50 a year. I don’t think I would like to give much more than that, however . -
Why don’t we ask everyone who is using this site, what it takes to make them donate ?
-
I think I can add a tip jar link. Maybe you get a bag of money icon every time you tip a certain amount. 🤣
-
Not sure if everybody is aware but when you click the Amazon or eBay links and purchase something, we get a small cut. This is true for anything you buy even if your purchase does not include the product in the original link.
Technically, I’m not supposed to encourage you to click links to affiliates in this manner. But that’s how these programs work and you can do whatever you want with this info. 😄

Sorry to hear that. I will contact @djensen to ask him to take a look.

In August, I topped up my $15 bronze with another $45, hoping to upgrade to gold. I have emailed and subsequently sent a DM to Dave, I assume he has been busy.

I have already informed @djensen via another line. I am sure he will resolve this.
