I am an old timer in the game but just getting back in recently and I was wondering if they still do bids and if so do they use bids for the BM format?

@Lyonsj There is still bidding but bids are much smaller and aren’t even unanimous on which side gets the bid. Some games proceed with no bid.

@Giallo I did, thank you though! I am looking to try a BM game if anyone is up for it though? I have never tried the Vichy format and it looks like a lot of fun and a great twist on the 1940 V2 I left off with.

I’m new to TripleA and quite new to A&AG40 as well (about 10 games under my belt), but feel interested and courageous enough in trying out this league.
Does anyone care to have mercy with me?
Prefer to play OOB except for the bid. Not sure what a reasonable bid would be either, but perhaps I’ll find out soon enough?

@simon33 how do bm bids compare to the normal 1940 v3+ edition?

10 is a high bid in BM whereas 20 is now seen as a low bid in vanilla.

@simon33 Okay that makes sense, so roughly half the prior bidding process. I do not meet your ranking requirements for a match but if you do not find one I would be willing to play a BM game. I am engaged in my first one with Giallo currently but am willing to start another.
If interested and you don’t mind starting the bidding process as I do not remember how bidding works exactly. I have not played much since 2015 so I am a bit rusty.

Looking for a BM game if anyone is interested. I’ve been playing sporadically for a while but I am pretty green to league play. Hopefully I can put up a good fight but I may need a little coaching on league procedure. Cheers!
