Come on guys, don’t argue over cav and figs. We all know it was the 1300 commandeered taxis of Paris that transported 5-6,000 French infantry on the nights of Sept 6-7, 1914 to the battle of the Marne, that saved Paris in the Miracle at the Marne.
Well, they really did transport a few thousand infantry to the battle. But it wasn’t the decisive factor in a battle between a million troops on both sides.
