OK here are the drive links with all the corrections made to the tile folders and the polys. I think Bill knows the drill, but should just be able to slide in the base and relief tile folders.
What I did was just to stretch Yenisey then hit the surrounding area with a bit of blur so it wouldn’t look to jank. Sorta best I could swing on short notice so I wouldn’t have to rework to much. Hopefully does the trick. I was a space cadet that first time, I mean I remember trying to fix the Novos-Kansu border so maybe that’s where I goofed zoning out. Who knows but good catch all the same! :)

Then I did the same for that other map UHD Boxes Expansion fix so they’d match up. Same deal there, it has the tiles already run through the breaker, but I threw the single images in too, like same thing you’d get from running the tile-reconstructor just in case. Called the zip Boxes for short.

Thanks guys, For some reason i am not able to enter the map section from the “download maps” button. I have tried to reinstal the software but still same error message:

I’m not sure if I’m seeing the same thing as you, but I got it working, but it was quirky
Removed the UHD map and also the “boxes” map
Redownloaded them, but I must have done them out of order.
I downloaded the 2 maps (one under “Global”), and opened the game file until it worked. Once I think it might have said 100% on the boxes map, then it downloaded the main? file again, and the boxes again. Basically I got lucky after just kind of sitting there a bit after I got 100%.
So I don’t know if you could get that to work, I couldn’t describe it well because I basically just tinkered, or if the mapmakers’ download instructions will be easier.
I think I’m moving soon, Japan’s moves are kind of headspinning with everything from Africa to partway into Siberia, with the triple allies pushing in East China, and down to the strait of Magellan, but I think I’ve got most of it in my head.
At least I’m finally making a little bit of headway, cutting off the Chinese Burma road for like the first time the whole game. Doesn’t feel like much. Somehow Russia has the highest TUV in the world now
And about your Dzavhan catch… now that my tank can’t attack your mech, I remembered
A guy years ago (pretty good player) was complaining that tank purchases were always sub-optimal since mech cost 4 and tanks cost 6 and (he thought) mechs were always superior IPC for IPC. He was mainly doing calcs with big stacks, and depending on the makeup of the stacks, indeed mech are usually better.
But he didn’t take into account production limits (I’d rather have 8 mech and 2 tanks built on Germany than 10 mechs, or 3 tanks on a minor rather than 3 mechs) and also transport capacity (tank is the more powerful than mech or artillery on transport).
But now I realize another superiority of the tank even though it costs 50% more… On the open field in Siberia, a tank is 3/3 while a mech is but a 1/2 (not to mention the blitzing).
But your tac our there is messing it up. Will I actually attack the forward mech with a bare tank and follow behind it with mech/tank? LOL we shall see, probably not.
Indeed a tank at 6 is a bit expensive and you don’t see enough of the exciting unit. But a 5 is too cheap, unless you go back to the classic 3/2 ???
It’ll never happen, but I like my idea of doubling all IPCs for everything so that some things can be finetuned. Then you’d have infantry costing 6, mech 8, and you could have tanks at 11 instead of 12. (sigh) no one cares
Glad you got it working. I’ve noticed that downloading in the prerelease it takes 3 times before the map is installed. Idky that is. I think it has something to do with unzipping the maps after dl.
Anyway, just let it continue to dl itself until done.

looks like the map is drawn incorrectly in Soviet east. It looks like japan can blitz through Dzavhan and enter Timguska. This is not possible in the original map
hence, can you edit my Timguska mech to Yenisey before you start Japan? Both mechs came from Novosibirsk

I wanted to play it because of the beautiful color and the beautiful pieces, skin on men, and the ships
But some work is still needed, and it’s great Black Elk is happily tweaking.
I did have to look about 4 times at my tank and AA in Yakut to see where they could go…
