@JuliusBorisovBeamdog No sir what you get is a bankrupt position because that’s why he quit, on top of that you get a loss because its not reversible.
-
Another problem is people are not quitting, instead they just keep the game going for weeks to avoid the loss. What should happen is you get 24 hrs to make move, if you fail just that player takes a loss, the others get no score either way.

I believe once we introduce the communication system before the game starts and the ranking system, these issues will decrease.
-
Well then dont COUNT these games in ranking system because they are not controlled .
-
I don’t believe the games prior to the introduction of the ranking system will count for the ranking system.
The game is recording your wins and losses, but I don’t believe the record before the ranking system will matter. -
@Imperious-Leader Dont play with pick up partners, play a whole side. I have 4-8 games going at once.
I don’t see anything “unsportmanslike” about choosing your version. And I’m getting my butt kicked by the Axis on the LH version…handily. There are plenty of good players on this network and now its much more stable.

Not so much that, but in the screenshot showed with side by side games, don’t their intentions seem obvious?

Sorry for double-posting, but wanted to point out that you can kick players who don’t move within 24 hours. On the game list if you hover over a game with an inactive player there should be a button that says “kick”. Can’t post a screenshot since I’m at work but someone else can I’m sure.
Agree with most of your other points about players sandbagging games. I’ve had to start play only 1v1s when taking the Allies because of bad teammates.

Well the kick feature is only possible for the guy who started the game. What is also needed is for when you complete a turn, you should be able to send a message that the game is ready for the next player and he has automatically 24 hrs to finish or he gets blocked out of game. Too many people are taking a Roman holiday in these games.
Why did they not make E40,P40,G40 game? 1942.2 is not exactly the most popular version out.

While I agree 1942 may not be the most popular amongst the veterans and competitive players that are predominant in this forum, I would its a different story when we look at the total player base. It is the flagship title that (along with 1941) is most likely to be present in stores and played by a greater majority of more casual players. I would guess significantly more boxes of 1942 have sold than any of the E40/P40/G40 combined, so from a marketing standpoint it makes sense to start with the base game.

@Imperious-Leader The kick feature is not only possible for the guy who started the game - it’s possible to use by all the players.
-
I want a feature that allows players to “watch” other games they are not in… a proper kibitzing feature. It was possible in the Milton Bradley software for classic. and chat to others not on your team should be allowed.

@Striker I like Global the best, possibly among all wargames. But 42.2 has a faster, chesslike appeal.
I try to play 5 games at once and very quickly, which improves my skills but also leaves plenty of room for me to make mistakes…like speed chess at the renfest where 1 member of the KC chess club takes on 15 all-comers at one time, one move after the next then back to the first game…
