In the 1939 variant, I combined ANZAC and CANADA into a new power THE COMMONWEALTH.  The income was split between the two sides of the map (Ottawa / Sydney).  The twist was that this power shares the SAME TURN as the UK.  So they can work in concert with the UK and Calcutta forces.

Yeah I already know that, but it would be better if they were separated nations, at least i  my opinion

They are separate Nations, but controlled by one player.  They have separate economies, Capitols etc…

So house-rule them into a different turn order.

Though, to be quite honest, on their own Anzac and Canada as completely separate nations would be like playing France … more or less useless.
Anzac may do alright, but Canada just doesn’t have enough to do anything without the assistance of the UK (which is why having them move on the same turn as the UK and Anzac, all in cooperation, is an amazing way to do it.  It makes for some very interesting moves, especially if you have different people playing UK and Canada/Anzac)!

But I want them to be in a differnet turn order

In the interest of putting unit variant house rules ideas in one place, I’m starting a new thread.  Here’s my tentative list:

yah, with three diffrent idealogies competing for contol, that would be cool, but i was going for a game that was a little less black and white

leaders of arab countires are more often allied with western powers than with Islam, Russia and China are not on the best terms either, and in this game i am going to make it possible for Russia and China to have full scale war with each other. Also its not like the US, UK, and France are able to agree on eyerthing either. I think it is best if they are seperate powers.

sure their will still be too sides, NATO, headed by the US, and the Warsaw Pact, headed by the Soveits. but the alliances are not set.
In fact at the start of the game all countries should still be at peace. each power can either buy NATO or WARSAW Pact vicotry points with 10 IPCs, of course doing that lowers the effectiveness of their armies the next turn, and so should only do this when they are not expecting attack

THe US and USSR are the only countries that start out active, If  US/UK/France are attack all of those countries can become active, of course I am going to have diplomacy rolling that can weaken or change the NATO alliance

China, and India are different. You can gain control of them diplomaticly or you can attack them to makes them active. if you attack one, the other becomes contoled by your alliance

The diplomacy thing will be clearer later, I also might make diffrent national objectives for each contry so that when you have more than two players, diplomacy can be represented by people instead of dice rolls.

I am going to go over the entire SCW game that I have from you (2nd + 3rd editions) and will shoot you off some recommendations.

Rogue Warrior

Just a quick notice. The MotCreations website is undergoing a complete
restructuring and rewrite. The MapView sections will focus on the modules
from cooperating partners such as Imp Games, Deer Valley Game Company, and
others. It will also include a large focus on User-Defined Modules with
a catalog of player-submitted games. Some other projects beyond MapView
will be also be available, such as an AI for the civil war game “SQUARES”.

Along with all of this will be a forum to provide a single place to have
all of your MapView (and other MotCreations) questions answered. As it
stands right now, there are bits of information spread all over the web on
half a dozen different forums. I think it will be a great service to
consolidate these into a central place. While the website is still being
worked on, you can at least get access to the rough draft of the new forum

I will be trying to replicate any MapView threads located on other forums
in our new forum so that new visitors can learn from the old questions.
