Cool! I can’t wait! Keep going!
Historical Board Gaming Russian Set
-
I have put together a list of units that I am working on for the Russian Early War set. I need to have certian items for this set will be done in the OOB color from Europe 40, MAroon from OOB Europe 99, Red for communist Chinese, and Plum for Spanish Republic. Feedback welcome. Wehave two new German/Russian maps coming out soon that we need the pieces for.
Infantry w/ M36 Helmet
122mm M-30 Artillery
Ba-6 Armored Car
T-26 Light Tank
T-34/76 Medium tank
KV-2 Heavy Tank
Su-76 Tank Destroyer
Kaytusha SP Artillery
Gaz-AAA Truck
I-16 Early War Fighter
Su-2 Tac Bomber
IL-4 Medium Bomber
Yak-6 Transport Plane -
I like it. I guess it would be 4 x inf and 2 x each for the rest. How soon can we expect them, and the new maps ? Keep up the good work.

Me and my comrads have back and forth, trying to make sure we cover all avenues for the colors and pieces needed for a early war set.
-
Looks very interesting “Coach”. I’ll of course buy some whenever they come out.
I guess we don’t need a Russian 4-engine Bomber since there’s an OOB one.“Tall Paul”
-
Great news coach. count me in for at least 20 sets on that one. When do you think are going to be released? Before summer time? (i hope).
-
Excellent choices
-
I’m glad everyone likes the lineup! It wasn’t easy pairing down the list…
-
I love it!
-
Looks really good. I like the different color choices too.
The Kaytusha SP Artillery – is this the Kaytusha multiple rocket launcher?
-
Ya good choice.
especially IL-4 and yak 6.
I already have the KV 2 from C&C shops.
It a must!! -
I’ll watch close for these. Good choices.

Hi
I really would like a Russian Infantry with Winter Field Cap and winter uniform, since the OOB Infantry pieces already have helmets. Just my opinion. I also like the choice for SP Artillery, this should be the BM-13 on ZIS-6 truck model.

I also like these infantry from italeri, especially infantry number four.

Coach, we will be able to get these in single pieces right?
-
@coachofmany:
zis-6 is the Katyusha, and I am doing it.
The Russian with the winter coat will not fit with Spanish Republic or Communist Chinese.Plus, we don’t have any troops for any other country in winter gear either. Although, I believe FMG still has that cool sculpt of German infantry in winter dress. Jeremy said it may come out in some future surprise set, but that was long ago and I haven’t heard anything about that sculpt since.
-
communist Chinese?, is this is a there will be a national Chinese set?
-
Hey coach, any time table on when are they going to be released? Im really excited about this set
-
There are a number of variables to consider on this. I know the designs went off to the sculptor, but there have been occasions where a sculpt in a set needed adjustment or to be redone. The other is color matching can be an issue as it has been in the past. All things considered though, Coach seems to get these from idea to pieces really fast. My guess would be around 8-12 weeks but miracles do happen!
