How did you get the “KAGA” lettering to be so precise?

I used stickers - it’s pretty easy - the thread on that can be found here:

Awesome work DK

DK & Others,
––Nice work! I especially like your photo background. I’m all for anything that adds to the “atmosphere” of our games.

Thanks Tall Paul and others - I retook the photos with the background added - my paint stained work mat just wasn’t cutting it - lol

Those are very cool. I like the color scheme. It looks very intimidating. Nice job on those! :-D

Those V2 rockets look mean. Awesome job. Love it.

Wow, those are really cool! Swastikas make them really look good. I like it better than the historical checkered black and white. Excellent job!

Awesome!

Yes, and in any case I think that the black-and-white checkering was only used for test flights to make it easier to track the missiles visually and capture them on film for analysis. The ones used in combat probably had monochrome paint jobs: fancy checkerboards would have been a waste of effort, and would actually make the unlaunched missiles more visible to enemy reconnaissance planes.
Great paintwork DK!

Truthfully the historic paint scheme looked beyond my painting skill or patience level - making all those crisp 90 degree angles successfully in tiny scale seemed unlikely. So I went with just an impression of historicity. The Germans them painted in camo, too, but I wanted them to stand out more on the map.
These new 3D printed pieces are rough in texture due to the layering process, but I found they can be sanded smooth. I sanded some of the rocket surfaces anyway, not the towers.

Those V-2s are mean looking. And the Reichstag is a nice touch. 8-)

Here are my Airborne units. The uniform color remains the country color for identification purposes. I painted the bases blue to identify the units as airborne. The allied transport planes have invasion stripes on the wings. The Axis planes have a white tail stripe to identify them.
The units can all be purchased from Historical Board Gaming.
