I remember reading about a balloonist in the 80’s who was trying to circumnavigate the world.
He crossed into soviet airspace over Romania accidentally and was shot down.
But that wasn’t the best part lol… the pilots who shot him down recieved medals for “bravery in the face of extreme danger”
L O L !
Another case where a balloon was mistaken as an “UFO”. Lol
Well Garg, those pilots WERE flying Soviet aircraft. Pretty brave if you ask me.
Should you be charged if you leave drugs out for kids to take and die?
-
Most times when a handgun or rifle is not secured and a kid plays with it and somebody dies it’s just a “sad accident” and no charges are laid.

Not surprised. But I thought the first rule of firearms is safety? Especially around kids.

But if I don’t keep a loaded gun under every pillow and bed there might be a situation where the bad guy breaks in and I don’t have a gun to defend my family. It is my right to my kids shoot themselves because its only a tragic accident and its might right to have lots and lots of loaded guns everywhere. One can’t let big brother take our rights away can we?
That’s why having a gun means your family members are more likely to die from a gun, its all about individual rights……
It’s all about safety…

Don’t get me wrong, I love guns….just love it best when i am the only one that has one…

I have heard that guns have done more to cause death/injury by accidents in the home than are incurred by actual home invasions.

WHOAH WHOAH WHOAH!!! WAIT GUYS!!! I got! I figured it out!
In the modern era, The KID is supposed to be charged, and so are the police, social services, and any other applicable government branches, as well as the private sector, for whoever is responsible for selling ziploc or whatever containers that failed to keep the kids out.
Come on, it’s 2014, that’s the world we live in today.
a few years ago someone smashed in my car win and stole my wallet in the console. (I got it back), I was later informed it was MY fault that the drug addict was forced to smash my window, because I irresponsibly left the wallet in plain view for him to steal.

If it was a gun and not drugs, the parent would already be in Jail.

Parents who leave marijuana bongs out for the kids will soon be celebrated.

Like Police Cars, open, still running, Laptop on, Keys in it (for the Trunk ,so you can snatch the Pump action, too)

Aren’t there already laws for this? Isn’t criminal negligence versus an accident determined on a case by case basis? Under different guidelines depending on where you are of course but guidelines used by a jury presented evidence one way or the other.
-
It’s criminal negligence if you leave drugs or car keys out and somebody gets hurt. If you leave a firearm out its a different matter. Why? Hint Hint……The NRA will not go to bat for your misplaced keys or drugs…
