Whales are mammals and they do drown if they don’t get air from the surface.  Not sure killer whales kill other whales though.

A quick example, but do note, the Blue Whale’s ONLY predator is the orca, and 25% of them have scars from Orca attacks.

Typically a pod of orca’s beat and force down a blue whale, what they do is prevent it from coming up and breathing, whilst biting it and fighting it.  The blue whale drowns and the orca’s eat it.

There is new evidence that some pods of orca’s also store food in different locations.

And yes empireman, whales without access to air - DROWN.
