That might be interesting, but at this point, let’s just go with the current treatment for T, the prior treatment or just tech no inf.
-
@fmerwinrommel I think the industry tech and three inf for the Ottomans would be ok… no IC for Germany though
-
I think we’re all ready if someone wants to set it up.
-
Previously, we removed the industry tech benefit for T because the consensus was that infantry and tech was too much benefit. So we removed the industry tech and found that just infantry wasn’t enough. So it seems the best compromise was to restore the industry tech, since getting a tech is dependent on chance, luck, and getting the 1 out of 3 tech that T really needs, was even more uncertain. And, eliminate the infantry, which is of smaller benefit.
Following the thread was difficult with its twists and turns, but it does look like in the end, we’re returning to both tech and 3 infantry for T, and nothing for G but a lump of coal from the Ruhr.
Restoring industry tech to T is the most important thing, so I can live with the infantry as icing on the cake. And would be happy to play T under these conditions.

turkey @Entek
-
@colt45554 I was hoping for Turkey with its improved bid. I saw your post about taking T only when the bid was good. I haven’t played T yet in this team game series.
-
@fmerwinrommel too good to pass up for me. Beware, UK player
-
@Witt ill go USA
-
@Colt45554 you are making me want to take Britain. But that would be wrong , as I just had them and play them too much , as I like to kill Germans and build hundreds of ships.
I will take Russia, so can still be your nemesis. I will learn how to build paper rafts, I can set alight instead . -
@Private-Panic I’ll try France/Serbia

I see a Baltic fleet in Russia’s future. And some tt’s in Vlad to take out Germans in Shanghai, etc. Perhaps even avenge the 1905 loss to Japan.

@fmerwinrommel Admiral Witt, at your service!

I thought about NmML balance a bit and find it hard to quantify what needs to be done… not sure there is a golden way for it.
May be we could consider (NML 10 earliest ofc) to mix things up a bit, by providing a bonus to a front a given power usually neglects.
E.g additional ship and/ or naval tech to Russia and Austria to get them to consider going naval. Or stronger position of Germany in Pacific.like a few trenches and inf in New Guinea.
That might break things up a bit and incentivizes going different routes than are usually established rather quickly.
Does that like of thought hold any merit or should I drop the subject right away?

Italy/Arabia for me please
