    Scramble fighters from Egypt to defend SZ100?

    It is my understanding that a scramble from the 2 CVs in SZ83 is not permissible because there is not a defending surface warship in SZ100.

    I’m not sure? I don’t want to scramble anyway so let’s see.

    I have found that the game does offer “scramble” but when it comes to dice being thrown it does not, I think I have only seen this for adjacent, empty, land territory.

    Here’s what I found: “Carrier Scramble: A carrier may scramble one plane to battles in adjacent sea zones/territories where there are defending surface warships or land units.” This creates an odd inconsistency: land-based fighters can scramble from an airbase to defend against an amphibious landing of transports only or transports accompanied by surface warships, but CV-based fighters cannot (unless there is defending friendly surface warship.

    The Allied Pacific Navy is scary. I suspect the Japanese will need to plan its next move very carefully to avoid disaster.

    OK and like I said there is a bug that asks for scrambling but then doesn’t allow them to fire if you approve the scramble.
