TripleA issues with BM

@wizmark so the issue isn’t unique to BM. But, lets see if we can fix it.
First i need to understand the problem a little better.
When I click a sub, i get the following pop-up with unit stats. What’s missing specifically?

@regularkid me for example encountered, that BB,CR and a TT couldn’t pass a Sub in sz 114 when i wanted to move from 113 to sz 115.

@regularkid As you can see… ( I hope you can…my screenshot skills dont seem to be as good as yours!) the stealth and evasion abilities are missing…this is in the game of BM3 V4.0 that i am playing against Mainah in the play boardgames forum

@regularkid updated and no different I’m afraid…no stealth options to see. If you want to see the problem in action then if you load the italian go from our game in local mode and use the italian fleet to attack sz98 with 2 subs…there is no submerge option and no first strike ability

@wizmark hey, i see what you mean on your saved game. However, I started a new game on my updated TripleA and did not encounter this issue. It might be a problem with the saved game file itself (perhaps because you started the game on an older version of TripleA).
I would suggest trying to start a new game on your newly updated TripleA to see if the problem persists.

Also why do CR’s don’t perform a Shorebmbrdmnt on triple A?? -
I’ve updated to the latest client version, but it still doesn’t apply the first strike.

I’m having trouble reproducing the problem in games I have created - which points to a map problem in the past. But then noone has updated the maps since July.
Not sure about a problem with shore bombardment. Haven’t seen that at all - although perhaps it isn’t ignoring subs properly, which would be the same problem.

I cannot reproduce any of the stated problems either - starting new games with current clients/maps and reproducing scenarios.
Problems in games started in the past cannot be resolved by updating the TripleA client, as updating the client does not change the game information stored in savegame files. In other words: As long as nobody starts new games with up-to-date clients and maps, the problems, saved in savegame-files, will be carried over and continue.

Not certain if it goes here… but Notes for TripleA
The latest verison has some errors.
-Battle Calculator when carriers/Navies are involved, always crashes the program (in BM games).
-Subs aren’t working properly in BM and are blocking movement (unless this is some customizable option that can be toggled? but I dont see it.) -

As far as I have understood the problems occur when not all players are on the most current stable version. Once a game is either started with an older release or a savegame started with the current version is opened with an older version the games are somehow corrupted.
This is why I have added the following note to some of the stickies here:
