Friendly reminder, to avoid any problems with this J move, in zone 42 if you attack the submarine, you will not be able to move ground units off Java in the noncombat movement phase because transports (which would include cruiser/battleship picking up marines) that load ground units in the combat movement phase must take them on an amphibious assault (page 15 of Europe rulebook). If the transports stay in Zone 42, they are necessarily involved in the combat and so then cannot move.
You can move sea units away during the combat movement phase to avoid the combat, but the transports can’t load unless they are going to conduct an amphibious assault this turn.
This is all only if you attack the sub - if you ignore it, of course you can transport the ground units freely during the noncombat movement phase.
I apologize if you already knew all this, I just wanted to try and avoid a problem before it happens.

On USA turn, I unloaded the AAA to Africa, leaving 1 UK infantry on 1 USA transport in 92.
On UK turn, I loaded 1 infantry to a different USA transport in 92. I transported 2 infantry, 1 arty, 1 tank from UK to Africa.I couldn’t get it to unload my 4 UK units on the noncom move, so used edit mode.
To get it exactly right (1 UK infantry on each of 2 different USA transports) I edited in one USA transport with 1 UK infantry on it in the middle of the Atlantic. If you would be so kind as to move it to 92 during an Italian turn movement phase using edit mode, it would then be perfect. Sorry again. -
You are playing really well and I’m having a great time. I guess I was too generous in taking zero bid - I should have taken a sub to 98 and attacked 97 on UK1 like I usually do - I have a big Egypt problem now, and so I can’t lose Russia as long as you have Egypt.
