Vietnam Axis & Allies-esque game

I thought I’d share this with anyone who might be interested:

Last year some time, I found out that a West Point graduate (Neil Willis, US Army) who is an authority on the Vietnam War had designed an Axis & Allies-style Vietnam game and offered to collaborate with Larry Harris on producing it.

Well, Larry explained that he was involved with War Room at just that time and couldn’t take on another project, but he offered Neil his blessing. So, it looked like a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see a Vietnam Axis & Allies type game (a serious one) was gone, but it is actually now listed on Kickstarter for the next couple weeks, in case anyone is interested. The game offers 800 miniatures!

The name of the game is The War in Vietnam. You have to go to kickstarter.com to find it.

Anybody heard anything lately ? Almost a year behind schedule now. Haven’t got any updates in my email.

Oh well, I’ve pissed away more money than that many a time. Wonder if he’s getting fckd around by the chinese sculptors again.

I’d pretty much already wrote it off as a bad investment. I might not even open it if I ever get it and just keep it as a collectors item :)
