Welcome to the 2019 Axis & Allies .org support drive. We hope you’re enjoying the new forums! :confetti_ball:

We do understand that’s it’s not perfect yet, but the new forums provide tons of new and useful features like mobile ready, chat, drafts for posts, better search, and more. On top of that we’re making changes and fixing problems every day to make it work exactly how you want.

Take a look at the migration to do list and the update log to see all the hard work that has happened and all of the tasks yet to do.

Hosting costs have gone up for the new forums. The monthly hosting bill is about 50% higher than previously. There are a few things I can clean up but that will likely only save $2-5/month.

Since we didn’t meet our goal for 2018, Google Ads will be turned back on for everybody for a few months. Then, we will transition to turning them off for Gold patrons.

I think for 2019 we might do the big push for Patrons in mid-August to mid-October. The reason is that there are a bunch of expenses at the beginning of the year so I’d like to move the big support drive push to January-February instead of November-December. It makes cash flow easier to get most up-front.

The mid-year patron push has started and the goal isn’t monetary, it’s 100 total patrons. The most we’ve ever had in a year is 90 back in 2016. Last year we came close with 88. Let’s get that 100 number!

Darn, looks like we’re going to get hit with another $16-20 per month for sending email. The legacy plan that I was on expires on Sep. 30 so now we’ll have to start paying.

@SS-GEN Well to be fair, donations here don’t go to supporting TripleA and its lobby/dice servers just the A&A website/forum. So I would encourage players to consider splitting their donation if they post a lot here but use TripleA and its servers as well. You can go to the TripleA website or forum to donate:
