✅ Forum Migration To Do List

A feature request for the To Do List:

On triplea-game.org forums when I reference an external website, I most of the time see a small preview image.

For example when referencing a Github issue, with
https://github.com/triplea-game/triplea/issues/4186
it immediately shows a preview image of the referenced item under the URL:

Clicking inside the image brings me directly to the issue on Github, there.

On our forum I only see the written URL.

Is this a setting or a plugin worth to be included here?

@Tjoek You can choose which badges appear by clicking your profile image or visiting your profile and then choose “Edit” -> “Group titles”. Anyway I have already added it back for you :-)

we used to be able to see how many times our attachments were downloaded. can this be supported with this new software as well?

also, we used to be able to view who’s online and what they were doing. I always felt that was helpful. any chance we can have that feature here too?

This is possible today: Klick on “Users” then “Online”. However the Online status has to be set per user.

@Panther true but it only says whether they’re online or not, which is of course very useful too. the old feature used to also allow us to know what they were up to, which was very handy :)

@axis-dominion Do you mean their latest activity? Klick on the user’s icon to see his profile. At the bottom of the page you see his recent postings. Or did you mean something else?

What @Panther said and it’s an outstanding bug that everybody has “Hidden” status. The default is to show status. The next version of NodeBB will fix this.

I have this aggregate data on the Admin dashboard so the software is tracking it. There are way too many possible features for me to request them all myself. Please head over to community.nodebb.com and request this feature. Be sure to @ message me on the request. I’m djensen47 over there.

@djensen TripleA pre-release with new A&A play by forum poster can be downloaded and tested: https://github.com/triplea-game/triplea/releases/tag/1.9.0.0.13066

We will look to publish this on the TripleA website as the next official stable this weekend if no major issues are found during testing.

I have a few questions concerning the forum:
League games.
Is there a way to highlight our names for a faster search?
I know we have the alert and it is very useful, but if you have a few games going and have to perform different task like, on one you will ask for a scramble Option, the next game you might answer to a scramble option, the very next game you try to download the file is keeping you very busy with searching.
The old forum format had a face icon to let you quickly determin if it was a topic you often replied to.

Also if we can have some sort of auto search typing when we create a new topic for the League (League only).?
What i mean is this:

L18 aequitas et veritas vs Opponent X Game 1

This could be combined with a counter (game 1,2,3 etc…)and a calendar (L18, L19, or L2018)

While this could be fitted with an automated typing wich er had on the old format when we filled in the box: search members
When we wrote a PM.

Is this possible?

It would ease a lot.

@aequitas-et-veritas There’s a new button on top. It looks like a reply-all button. It shows all of your alerts. Then you can filter by type, mine is set to “Replies”.

You can also view all of your watched topics:
Click you Avatar on the Toolbar > Click you User Name > Click the blue button > Watched
