    Are you sure about that rule / do you know reference? I have been only aware that I must not partially unload from a transport.

    good one. I think that this BM feature possibly is not covered by an official ruling? Only found in Game Notes:

    • (PE) Transports can only be loaded in 1 phase (not both), and unloaded in 1 phase (not both).
    • (PE) Transports if unloading for amphibious assault must unload all units loaded in the combat move phase and may not hold back some units while offloading other units unless the units held back were loaded in previous rounds.

    For our game we can perhaps assume that one battleship unloaded during combat movement and one battleship with marine came during non-combat movement. So in result one marine is edited from sz to territory?

    You can also leave your Marine where you picked it up if you prefer.
    My main point is that you cannot have in on your ship.

    @Panther doesn’t do balanced mod if I recall correctly.

    Balanced mod doesn’t change the rule for combat move ground units on “transports” as per the BM note you referenced.

    However, cruisers and battleships are not transports according to 2nd edition rulebook, unless that is what the balanced mod designers were thinking. But they didn’t specify.

    Non-combat moves are not supposed to be done during the combat movement phase, and since your battleships didn’t participate in combat, they should have been moved in non-combat.
    The way the balanced mod notes are written, it appears to me cruisers and battleships are actually allowed to pick up marines and go bombard somewhere (could have bombarded North Australia) and also NOT unload their marines, because the rule says “transports” and I don’t see anything that addresses marines. It wouldn’t seem like this is what they intended. @Adam514 probably still remembers what their intention or later clarification was.

    If this was clarified (years ago) it was not added to their game notes, and it looks to me like their game notes have been finetuned to include everything that was caught by players over an extended period of time.

    So initially I totally agreed with you guys, but then I realized the BM rule says “transports”, and cruisers and battleships are certainly not transports according to 2nd edition rules, and I can’t find in the BM notes that says any different.
