Here is some pics of turns 5-6. Allies took Paris and Germany has Moscow and Russians holding onto to Stalingrad. So looks like Russia has some power in game still. Samara is the new Capital. The issue here was Italy going into Russia and being a can opener for Russia to take Tambov and Germany could blitz to Stalingrad on there turn.
So the above pic is the fix based on history of Italy in Russia. Its a happy medium fix.
Some may allow Italy to go as far as they want based on game play fantasy which is there choice.
US on Pacific side could of taken 3 victory city’s when there fleet was in Java on turn 5 but Japan moved towards US so US fleet moved back on there turn 6. Besides if US would of went into the 3 city’s they would of lost there fleet if they moved it up to Asian coast. Maybe the move would of been US just move transports and capture city’s. But then what if japan went back to Island hopping for the extra cash ?
But Japan could just take back those 3 victory city’s next turn or two.
First time in game where US got this close to Asia but would of been a to soon landing based on turn time. But most games Japan is more down by Dutch Islands protecting there oil supply so that can just be a push.
Made a few more changes to setup for US. Seems US is lacking ground units on Pacific side with all those transports. Also added a IC to Hawaii based on there huge Production after Pearl Harbor attack. Granted most stuff had to be shipped to Hawaii but with GDP and production the Hawaiian IC represents supply’s shipped from based on time frame between turns.
The new map is ready for printing now so next game we will be using. Will finish up this game on lighter map next week to see if Axis can hold on to a win.
They had 33 victory points in game but lost Paris and Japans oil which dropped them 5 points. Anytime Moscow falls the allies need to be taking Paris back. No ifs or buts about that. Allies don’t take back Paris on turn 5 then Axis would have won game with 30 points at end of turn 5.
Also the AA Gun being able to D@4 on all round of combat awesome in game now.
This is after they get there D@2 plane shots before combat starts. WE had more Tac and Dive bombers trying to take out AA Guns on singled out attacks before combat. IF Tac’s or Dive Bombers singled out a attack on a AA Gun, then they had to skip first round of combat and they can’t use there @1 Dog Fight bonus plane kill until 2nd round of combat. They would lose there @6 pick shot. Tac’s and Dives can only hit at a 3 on singled out attacks on AA Guns and Surfaced Subs only. Other wise to strong.
Like Russia had 5 AA Guns in Moscow when Attacked but Germany only had 4 Tac bombers. So didn’t single out AA Guns. Better to use the @6 pick shot against KV tanks on first round only pick. Then Tac and Dive Bombers @4 rest of rounds with no pick shot based on they used there Bomb or Torpedo on first round attack.
