Hello all,

I’m a new user to this forum. I used to be a lurker at the old online A&A java based game that went offline around 2015 and people were on that forum waiting for it to come back for years lol.
I’ve been playing axis since the original release and I have a few old friends form those days and we just had a re-union game two years ago. A great time.
Another friend i know now was at a board game swap meet in Glendale Arizona, ( I live in Tempe AZ) and he found me a copy of the anniversary edtion. I’m so excited to play, i’m setting it up on my dining room table and going to run a game by myself until i can get a group game going.

A few years back i had picked up a copy of 1942 2nd edition but no one wanted to play so i let it go. this time i’m staying in for the long haul.

My other buddy from the old days has the new 1918 WWI game. We are looking to try it out soon.

I have some house rules but never got to play test them for real. the big one is that for Normandy invasion, the US and UK should be able to attack simultaneously, or else the war in real life may have never been won. Assign the US naval units to UK and let them attack as one force for the duration of that naval combat and landing, then the US forces there skip this turn and return to US control on the next turn.

Hi,
I am from East Anglia UK
I currently have G40 hopefully getting global war 1936 soon
I don’t have any playing groups as off yet as I don’t feel confident in my abilities yet but soon I will (I do play games against myself however, but I can sort off predict my moves)
and I like to have painted pieces

I am a relatively new player but have come to love game hopefully ill improve with time.

Private Panic hosts a game quarterly in rural Derbyshire. He is on holiday at the moment , but I am sure he will contact you about the current English based players .

@tank-nut Hi! Always good the hear about another British player. But Derbyshire is probably too far for you. I guess it depends how far you are from the M11?

@Private-Panic yeah its a tad far and i am not quite ready for a full game yet but in the future i’d love to join a game if you or someone would be okay with a phenomenally bad player joining.
but glad there are players around

@tank-nut No-one will worry about you being a learner. Keep on eye on the Events tab for the next date, which will be published when I get back from my holiday.

Hello, I am from the United States. I enjoy playing Axis and Allies 1942 (Second Edition) and the Global 1940 game. I play every couple of months. When I get together with friends to play Global 1940 we like to draw countries out of a hat so that the country one plays is a surprise.
